You know, at first I didn't like the tips. Now they're starting to grow on me. Makes me think of a hot rod exhaust. |

The customer has done some baseline dyno runs, but I haven't seen them yet. As initially indicated, this may not ever become commercially available. I have no involvement on it other than as a consultant for the customer on what tests he should perform. Al |

Al - if he's not going to make them commercially, perhaps a tutorial for those of us who might want to try it ourselves. That's the best looking setup I've seen yet. Zack |

I have to agree with Zack, that is the best looking exhaust I have yet seen. |

Brian says it might become commercialized, but it certainly won't happen until after he's done a fair amount of testing with the first one. I applaud him for that. If it does, I'll keep ya'll apprised of developments there. Brian are in fairly constant communication. But he live near Bend Oregon, and it is still winter there. He doesn't have a lot of road time on this thing. AL |

Al great thing to do then is to send one to Virginia, where I'll get some time on it to see what might be service life limited. I have experience doing this. Really! I try put mega miles on it and look regularly at the mounts and welds for cracks and such. I'll take pictures! It will be a sacrifice but I'll manage. :-) I just love the way he attempted to keep the front tube length as long as possible and then those angled exits. The mounts look very stable. Perfect! |

Yea, I know it's just teasing you because this isn't available commercially, but Brian sent me a couple other photos that looked good.
I hope it becomes available commercially. But until they've done the testing and such, they won't duplicate it. Which is the right thing to do. Al |

I just don't get it...... Do I have to buy a manufacturing plant to get an aftermarket exhaust? I know I'm not alone. I was at the dealer last Saturday and ran in to a buddy looking to purchase a 1125r. I talked for about 10 minutes highlighting all that I like about the bike. Finally he interrupts me and says, "yeah, yeah, that's great but take me outside so I can hear it!" Coming off a Firebolt with a race muffler his first question was; "ok, who has a good aftermarket pipe for it?!?!" |

Yes you are a TEASE but, we like that about you (when you are talking motorcycles). You are one of our best resources for the goodies we hold near and dear. Thx Neil S. |

That's my only problem with the stock exhaust, it's TOO quiet. My SV650 is louder... and that's just not right. |

I am a welder and thinking of modifying my pipe, I only have a mig welder so it will hopefully look good and sound good, I am also thinking of buying a tig welder and making my own exhaust, a new on is twice the price of the D&D exhaust but I could us it for other mods and on other bikes, I am going to start looking for a used tig welder and see if I can find one that would be good for my needs, tig welding is my specialty and I have some good idea's. actually I need to update on my comment as I blindly neglected to mention D&D. They do have a pipe that is in stock and ready to ship. They do tend to be crazy loud so I have not considered it an option up until today. At this point, since I'm not hearing back from anyone on any availability of all these other pipes, I may have to plunk down the cash on the D&D just to satisfy my craving..... |

That exhaust makes me excited. Hopefully its not TOO loud though. I have almost gotten used to riding around all steath-like. A bit off topic - What is that license plate relocation kit pictured on that bike? I see it utilizes the stock blinkers. Al, do you sell that kit? I'm interested. |

If somebody can send me this exhaust, I will make a fuel map for it completely for free and will send all the information to the current owner. I will make a new fuell map for the front and rear cylinder.. Take me about 2 days of labor on our dyno. Only have to make 2 small 8mm holes in the headers for the lambda. |

Easyrider, How can you remap the fuel and spark when there is no way to reprogram the ecu on the aftermarket side yet? Just curious as I have an exhaust almost ready to dyno and knowing that there is nothing yet available for remapping...have had to stay very close to the factory pipes backpressure/volume characteristics within its design...meaning, limited. |

The mufflers that he was using in this incarnation became unavailable. He was jigging up a second one to send to me when he learned this. He found some others that were close but not quite right last I chatted with him about it. Haven't heard anything in a while, though. I like the location of the muffler on this one. I'm not real crazy about the mufflers running up from underneath on the right side (a la D&D or Jardine). Kevin's doing it right on the 1125R drummer. Al |
