Howdy, After a shorter than normal warm-up I rode out the drive way and my 07 Uly had a stumble and hick-up. After this as rpms rise toward 4000 I get a vibration through out the frame and handle bars. As you go past 4k the vibration tapers off. I dont notice any reduction in power. The next day I started the bike again the problem was still there just not as severe of a vibration. I know its not much to go on, but does anyone have an idea what might be wrong. Id go to the Dealer, but I want to get the bike fixed, not have it come back with new issues |

You may have fouled a plug. Start it cold and feel both pipes to see if they heat up equally. If one stays cool longer it is likely that one fouled. Uh.....don't hang on too long though! |

What's your weather like? Cold weather = cold isolator rubber = more vibration. |

I seem to get a very slight harmonic vibration from the belt around 65mph in 5 gear. Its just barely noticeable and certainly doesnt detract from the bike, its just there is all. |

I don't think the weather is a factor, I live in Los Angeles. Cold here is 50 F. I'll check the plugs, a fouled one just might make this vibration. I should mention that the vibration happens at any speed and gear, the only common thing is the vibration is centered at 4000 rpm. |

A broken motor mount can cause vibration as you describe. Does it happen if you rev the engine in neutral?mine vibrated like a banshee as it decelerated past 2k rpm. |

I notice more vibration when the fuel level gets low. Go figure. Take a look the the front isolator, is there a gap between the large washer looking end and the bushing? |

Couldn't hurt to check the primary chain tension. |

I have checked the plugs and both seem fine. I also double checked the primary chain tension, and tightened it up to 3/8" total play, it was closer to the 1/2" mark. Ill find out tomorrow if this did anything for me. Since this vibration started after a hic-up and near stall, could it be TPS issue?? |

Adjusting the primary did not help..and now after riding it again, the rpm range that has this vibration has increased from around 4000 to 2000 up to 6000. The hardness of the vibration has gone down some but it is happening over a broader range of RPM.. I checked for Trouble Codes there were none. Any ideas ? |
