Just a follow up on Fatty's original link here. I mounted everything just like Fatty did and with his cliff notes the install was very simple. My led only had red, as the green and yellow beams did not work. I called custom dynamics (Jeff) and he issued me a RMA and a new unit showed up the next day. The new unit worked perfectly, flashing green, yellow and red during the start up test mode. It's pretty cool that the start up cycle for the indicator light is complete the exact same time as our ECM start up cycle is complete. It will provide continuous direct feedback while riding the bike. For example, I run both headlights on with the DeathRay setup and that really sucks the power. When I stop in traffic and let the motor idle with both headlights on then the indicator light goes to yellow. If I leave both headlights on for more than a few minutes at idle then the red light will come on. Switching off the high beam brings the yellow light back, followed by the green light in a few more seconds. Simply reving the motor slightly brings back the green light indicating all is well. My square idle is lower (900) than the recommended 1050 and I can see now that my alternator output at idle is also reduced. Thanks Fatty for finding the mod, and posting such a great install.
