I am wondering about the year and model overlap for the race ecm. I have a '03 xb9 and am wondering if I can use another year and model ecm; such as an '04 xb12 race ecm. Thanks everyone. |

Any XB9 ECM will work. Different years have different fuel maps to compensate for changes with the bikes air and fuel systems over the years. Your best bet would be to get the XB9 race ECM and get that custom mapped for your bike. |

Unless you reflash the ecm you do not want to put a 9 into a 12! Chris |

The 03 and 04 had a different ECM than the 05-07s (in the 9) I dont know how this impacts everything but I was told you cannot interchange the 05-07 and the 03/04. |

Froggy, you can not use any race ECM from a 9 And you definitely don't want to use a 12 ECM. Go on ebay, there is plenty of 03 race ECMs for a 9, and they are pretty cheap compared to the newer models |
