I'd slap a VRod headlight in there and be done with it. Did you win the dubious honor of being the first BWer to dump the 1125? |

Tim...... Right after I saw the bike I just had to ask for it. I gave him a brake line so he could try to get running again and while doing so I asked the morbid question...... "So ya wanna sell that fairing?" The funny thing is that a couple of folks asked..... "Who the F**K carries a spare brake line with them?" In my defense, it was at my cabin, I didn't have actually have it with me. |

When I trailer the bike anywhere I ALWAYS bring my takeoffs with me. Cause you never need something until you need it. Just ask some of the guys that crashed last year. Last year I gave away a couple of handlebars, brake pedal, pegs and I forget what else. There just wasn't as many crashed this year. I just happen to replace my brake lines with black ones just before MBV. |

Gator - are you going to be at the shop this weekend? I need to run up there and pick up some stuff I figure you probably have a big debt to work off with your mom |

Also to djkaplan for hanging with me until Paint_Shaker showed up with the truck. In all fairness to Twintour, I did originally suggest that we just go on to eat barbecue in Helen instead of witnessing the aftermath of the crash. There was plenty of help with you there already. In retrospect, I'm glad I stayed because Ray said the barbecue place really sucked. You should also mention that the section of road you were on was a downhill corner... very tricky at speed. I thought you did quite well after the point of no return actually. An inexperienced rider would not have faired nearly as well... believe me. |

Oh... and I heard the conversation BuellGator had with his mom. Paul's cell phone wouldn't come down from the speaker phone volume - it was apparently damaged from the crash. She was way cool about it, much cooler than I would have ever expected from a parent who gets a call like that. My mom would have ripped me new one right through the cell phone. |
