Neil...beat it to my hearts content? Are you realy sure about that? ;) I have a little history about beating up on Buells that weren't my own. Now for the million dollar question... The pods...eh..i could live with them i guess...but i wanna know is, are any aftermarket companies making full bodywork kits? That would solve my pod issue. |

Mikeyp: All I ask is to keep it on two wheels er, at least semi upright ;+} There are 2 sets of bodywork floating around. One is what the racers use and the other uses an "r" fairing with lowers. Trojan has commented that they will have some body work soon. Oh yeah, no front doors or living room furniture allowed. TIme4Sleep Neil S. |

Nice pictures, to bad that ugly exhaust is screwing up the looks of an otherwise beautiful bike. Mike |

Don't stress it.. when you're riding it, you don't even notice the pipe.. except for the sound.. which many people have commented to me is something they all like.. especially at 'full song'.. |

Tim,glad to finally see your bikes in person. Great action shot! Sure wished I was on my "25r" out there in Georgia, which BTW I found out while heading back to Texas that they're sending a new engine to go in mine. That X-1 I rode out to Badness on sure didn't have the extra comfort that my "25r" does. But at least I can finally say I rode the DRAGON even if I had to do it in my rain gear. Neil.. Now that's what i'm talkin about... The pods aren't as noticable with the full body work applied to the bike. I just got a woody... |

Tim, not wanting to start another thread, but the finger followers in the front cylinder valve train broke. Just an anomaly , mine's the only one that it's happened to so no one else start freakin' out about it. In fact there have only been two engines sent back and the other one from Baton Rouge on a different issue. Buell is takin' care of me. I didn't even want to mention it on Badweb because of the negativity it could start. I should be back on it breaking it in AGAIN by next weekend. |

Oh my goodness . . . look what the horsepower has drug in! Too cool. Expect bodywork to be available. I doubt Buell will do it but there are simply too many folks who creamed their shorts when they saw that 1125R at Daytona to have not put some enterprising souls in motion. |

Hey Neil how do you like the zumo? I have had mine going on two years, just found out you can get updated maps of scenic trips the one thing I missed from my last gps, it would ask it you wanted to go the fast way or the scenic route so now they have them for like 7 to 10 dollars, also got the garmin saver card and topo maps for off road but could not find anyone to ride off road with me, I figured if the bike fell on me and hurt I would be screwed so I have never used it buy like the zumo allot, I have a motorcross mount that looks so no one can steal it, also got the xm radio with traffic and weather, one day it was telling me to take an exit and was going to ignore it and then seen a big back up, got off and was on my way home. Well, topic is post pics of your bike here... so Here is my Hayabusa. Its a 2005, about 25,000miles on her now. Mods incl': Tsukigi Spec I full exhaust, BMC Race Filter, delete pair valve, short stack and air box mod, billet front sprocket cover (really good idea with a chain final drive), +2 rear sprocket, Carrozzeria Wheels, Pazzo Levers, Billet triple clamp cover, tank and seat quick release pins, throttle meister cruise control, power bronze screen and rebuilt forks..probably a bit more, but can't recall it all.

And no I'm not "trolling" here...I'm actually enjoying the sharing the information for a future purchase of the 1125R. I'm just waiting for my deployment back to Iraq this summer so I can get it tax free, and thats when the wife said I can |

AAFES Car Sales works wonders. Just start the deal as soon as you get there and make monthly payments until you get back so you don't get taxed on the whole bike but just on the remainder of the bike. That is how I worked the deal for 2005 XB12R that I use to have. |

And that is how i am getting my bike 3/4 tax free. its amazing what you can spend on a bike if you stop drinking. and the only thing here in okinawa is drinking. but i am now a book reading sob. |

Cat3 - I like your wheels. Just got home from a roadtrip to find my new 1125 wheels - Amber XBs. Time to do some burnouts on the Pirellis. I'll have pix of a new Loretta in a few weeks.

You bet Asbjorn - I was lost in the beauty of all those flowers on the roadside. From San Antonio south, it was like riding thru a garden. The "wheels" are in motion for Loretta's rebirth. New set of Corsa IIIs for the Amber wheels are on order. Valencia Orange translucid airbox is on order. Ulysses drop pegs are on order. Have to pick up a set of gold anodized bar-ends and put it all together. Pix in a couple of weeks... Z |
