Author Message   Hooper Posted on Wednesday, April 02, 2008 - 12:31 am:        Awhile back, I rented a H-D Electra Glide Ultra Classic with a sound system and rode from Phoenix up to the Grand Canyon, on to Zion National Park, and back. I created three mix CDs for the trip, blending different genres, tempos, and styles: Marillion, Rush (Neil Peart is a famed motorcycle tourer), Pink Floyd, King's X, Peter Gabriel, Bill Evans, Jonas Hellborg, Foo Fighters, 311, Phish, and Umphrey's McGee. I would stop at red lights with Miles Davis blaring with cagers staring in disbelief. Anyone have any special mixes that you ride with on destination trips? Pandora is awesome - basically create your own music channels and it creates a mix based on your preferences. Not the ultimate in sound quality via cell - but more than adequate paired with Shure SE310's and a headphone amp (considering the whole motorcycle noise thing) woop - didn't really answer the question, so an edit For upbeat moods/roads I have a Ska channel mixed with some alternative - Madness, Talking Heads VIolent Femmes, Cat Empire (current fave) More relaxing, a little Wilco, Nick Drake, Coldplay, also the soundtrack to The Life Aquatic.
