the tail light wont turn on when I squeeze the front brake. It does work when I hit the back brake. I'm guessing its the front brake switch. Can I just remove the switch and stick a wire to close the circuit and "test" to make sure??? I was about to do that but I don't want to fry anything, including myself. Thanks Buellers! |

Yes. Sometimes all it takes is a good blast of contact cleaner into the switch. Other times, you need a new switch. I had to hit mine with contact cleaner about four years ago. It's still working fine. |

I am having the same problem and I had to get it inspected the other day. When she said to hit the brakes to check the light I made sure I hit the rear brake so it would light up. I knew I would figure it out and fix it soon enough. I'll give this a go and see what happens. |
