i ordered new bolts for the bottom fork leg axle pinch bolts they are not the same as the ones that i took out, they are about a quarter inch shorter, part number is 46131-99y i need am for a 2000 x1 showa forks. |

ok i was told that the showa forks i bought were from a 2000 is there any difference thru the years if the showa inverteds? |

My 99s pinch bolts measure APPROX 1 3/8" from the BACK of the head to the end of the bolt... Or 35.5mm... Chase (Message edited by chasespeed on April 01, 2008) |

I think the 99 Showas were different from the other years. I say this because I see Gold kits that only fit the 99's. |

My 2000 X1's measure 1.37795 which converts to 35mm for all practical purposes. If you don't want to screw around with the dealer (no pun intended)try the local Fastenal store for a part # 01395938. 8.0x 1.25 x 35 mm shcs. Tensile strength 120,000 Yield strength 92,000 55 cents apiece. |

i was at h-d today and they tried to look up every fork config. that there is in the parts books apparently these are the new style bolts, same thread pitch just diff length |
