Hey guys, its been awhile I've got my spot for Inside Pass...won't be staying at the hotel again. I'm riding up with the rest of the Brew City crew so that means we won't have the trailer there but I'm sure you guys can hang out by us. Greg, I'm going to be in the intermediates this time so maybe we can run together for a little bit. |

All; Our next meeting is March 6th one week from this Thursday. As a possibility I would like to come up with more ideas for some rides. SAMS I have the final repair/preventive maintenance list ready for my bike, I'll give you or the service department a call to set up a time for the work. Later Kurt A racing note-Despite te fact that during the winter I've bought two more cars to race, the sanctioning body canceled Masters of Disasters in its placed added a fifth Team Demo event at the Route 66 Raceway dirt oval. It is possible I'll be able to race during a intermission event during the Team Demo events that are schedules but we'll see. |

Hi All- Don't forget about the sign up promo at the next meeting: On March 6th there will be a drawing for a free track day at Road America on June 10th ($150 value). Just show up with your $10 dues paid and your automatically entered. What a deal! Matt- I'm in your profile photo too... Upper right behind Tim trying to zip my jacket, or was that when I was taking a leak? Just the way I want to be remembered :-) (Message edited by johnnyvince on February 29, 2008) |

Hi everyone, I'm moving to Chicago [In Detroit now] and i as wondering what you guys do for storing your bikes? I will be living in the city and figured you guys might have some ideas for where to keep my firebolt. Do they have apartments with garages? Thanks in advance! -Alex |

Alex, There are a variety of downtown APTs/Condos with garages which will meet your needs. Just make sure its on your list of must haves as you look for your new residence in the downtown Chicago area. These will be more reasonably priced and available the farther outside of downtown you shop. I myself live in the suburbs and have a 3 car garage with plenty of room for my XB12X, snowblower, mower, kids bikes. etc. Johnnyvince is a downtowner. He uses his DINING ROOM for bike storage and bike maintenance. Nothing says "I love my Buell" like keeping it in the Dining Room. When you get to Chicago, please come to a Windy City Club meeting and we'll show you the sites on two wheels. ALL, I had my sites set on a Starved Rock ride today today. I road from Plainfield to Seneca, IL where I stopped short and returned as I was running out of daylight. I really missed riding as today proved. Get your bikes ready as riding season is upon us. - Marc |

Marc Hickman and Keith Kraehmer have committed to be at this Thursday's WCC meeting. Club Officers --> Could we add to our agenda for 3/7 meeting a discussion of "WCC Trips for 2008"? Marc will be bringing a few ride ideas for 2008 to the meeting: 1). Lake Superior Loop - 6 days total sometime between 7/29 and 8/25. My Brother in law Jamie and I are currently committed to this one. Jamie has motorcycled this a few years prior and knows a few neat spots to check out along the way. 2). Oshkosh Airshow - ONE FULL DAY sometime between 7/28 and 8/3. This would be a long day trip as Oshkosh is 3 hours from Chicago Metro. I was thinking of an early morning 7am departure as the airshow gets really good from noon to 5pm, followed by a 5pmish to 9pmish ride back to Chicago. Long day, but the best airshow in the US. This trip is all about the airshow and less about the riding so if you don't like aviation this is not the trip for you. If we do this during the Mon-Fri week, we avoid the weekend Oshkosh crowds and weekend Oshkosh traffic http://www.airventure.org/ Whomever expresses interest in the above two ride ideas will help dial in the actual dates. Of course The June 10 Buell Track Day at Elkhart Lake, WI as well as two SlimeyCrudRuns are always great fun and will be on our calendar. See you at the Thursday meeting - Marc |

Hey, I'll be there this Thurs. Please note: https://www.buell.com/en_us/owners/25th-anniversar y/index.asp\ This is the event schedule for Homecomming. I know some of you have registered for the "Inside Pass" at Road America in June. The Homecomming event includes a "Buell" only track day, set up just like an "Inside Pass" track day but only for persons registered for the Homecomming event. $100. I would consider doing this if there are others interested. It is on the Friday. Please let me know soon, I'm sure this will fill up quickly. Alo, I'm planning on the Thursday "Dinner and Seminars with Erik Buell and the Engineers" $50. I hope most or all of you that are attending Homecomming would like to do that as well. For those that are planning on going, registration is available on line now. Thanks, see you Thurs. night. For those that attended last years event, I have (6) items that I have meant to give to you since then. martinezrods@hotmail.com |

Good to hear it Tim. I just did the same. I hope more of us can make all the events. The track day is a real deal! A private event for Buell riders only with demos etc. Right now, I'm planning on a early Thursday morning departure to East Troy and staying in the host hotel until Sunday. We can make plans at the meeting. |

Just a reminder for all you hardy souls, Team Chicago's Racer's School is this Sat at Grattan. Forecast for the weather actually doesn't look too bad, mid 40's and sunny. Too late for the $30 pre-entry but it's still cheap at $55 for at the door entry. www.teamchicago.tv Sam |

Registered for the entire Homecoming event including the Inside Track track pass event at Blackhawk Farms. Has anyone else signed up for the track day during Homecoming? How far is Black Hawk from the event area? Looking forward to next week's meeting to iron out all the details. later, Keith |

All, As discussed last meeting my dad will be taking over my responsibilities as club secretary until I can return to day shift in my new job. I haven't been able to ride yet since my bike is still being serviced at IL Harley; can't wait to get it back. However it will finally be fully repaired and ready for a full season of riding with the club. Later All Kurt |
