We'd love to get together for a ride on Sunday, the weather is supposed to cooperate. And hell, if we can't find a sitter... Don will just have to stay home! We can ride from 9:30 til 1:30... after that my Blast turns into the work/commute bike. I know there's a couple of us in Burnaby. We could meet @ Chevron station on Kingsway near Gilley, then hook up with the rest of you some how. What does everyone think? SportyEric, about how long does it take to do the DuffyLake to Lilloet (i'm assuming that's the way you'd be going?) On the wet coast... Lorraine |

I agree totally with you sportyeric, with all the bikes that have been sold you'd think some sort of group would kinda evolve. Reading all the posts here it looks like the riders in Washington got something figured out on a regular basis. We should be able to do the same if for no other reason than to meet B.S. and have a couple of beers. I figure I'm good for Sunday but the BOSS has been in Birch Bay for two days and I won't know her plans until today when she returns. If you read this before Friday afternoon whats a good time to phone you. I'm going to hit the sack in a few minutes for a little snooze. Cheers, Bob |

And I quote: "I'm envious of the Swiss thing, although I don't have time myself for regular get-togethers" Well Eric, I think you might be on to something there. The following is done in my best Miss Piggy voice MAKE TIME! Tell everyone you’ll be at some particular place at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday night and then be there. Stay for an hour, drink a cup of tea, read a book or whatever. Then tell everyone you'll be at the same place at the same time text Tuesday and be there again. And again. And again. Sooner or later somebody else will show up and then you both brag about what a good time you had and before you know it there will be four or five then eight or ten other people. My only other piece of advice is to be extra nice to the folks that show up riding English bikes. They usually have an inferiority complex and are embarrassed about their need of one extra cylinder to keep up with us. |

Ray!, A complex!! WTF are you talking about you no good lower than a snake belly in a wagon rutt bastard!! Oh dont even think yer gunna weezil yer way outa this one !! Dont make me go into the extra cylinder thing again!! Are you going Suday? Sunday's ride is not a Race! It is intended to re-con for SPLASH. I'm going to bring some paper plates to mark bad spots in the road. Well, maybe a little fast! I'm trying to get a hold of Old Wobbly Bob to meet us in the Gorge. He knows that area like the back of his hand. Lets launch a 8:00 am Sunday Morning. Where? Bob |

Three is such a weird number. "Sunday's ride is not a Race!" Good. That means I might be able to keep up and on the road. Lyle is going to come along too if his slave driver boss lets him have a day off. |

Hey you guys doing the recon for Splash... On that great little stretch of road in the first part of the ride there's a turn off that invites some sweet flicking of the bikes. The past couple of years, the pack has missed the turn off. Could you flag the turn off somehow? We don't wanna miss it this year! John, Don and I have decided to turn at the "twisty section turn off" even if the rest don't follow. Cuz it all meets up at an intersection eventually, right? Have a good ride Sunday. Us Canucks that get out we'll be thinking about cha! Ride on... |

Good job on the Canadian Riders section, Lorraine. It never occured to me that we had that power. Yeah, Ray. Make time. I read here about those who've lost there jobs , and I count my blessings. My problem is that my shift changes daily, and my days off vary from week to week. Plus I never know when I go in to work if I'll be off six hours later or be putting in twelve. Doesn't make me the most dependable guy. (I'm not the most dependable even when I'm not working, though.) What I need is for someone else to do all the work organizing and I'll just drop in from time to time. That's the kind of club that I like.. So Sunday's ride time I'll post on the new Canadian Section. But I'll be back. |

Hi Guys, I had to turn back at Olympia. The day looked to be cold and wet -- I get so little time off that if a ride doesn't look to be 100% happy shiny warm and fuzzy, than that's time I need to be spending with the family. I hope all the rain was up here in Tacoma/Puyallup and that your ride turned out to be warm and sunny. Have fun! Dan |
