joseph, the major concern would be governing the electronic fuel injection correct? i found an outfit that can do the modification for me. trask performance out the door for 7500 dollars, for a custom setup. they've never done a buell and they need my bike for about 3 months if i can afford it... |

Micheal That is a chunk of change. And no dough that fuel management and ignition control is the road to long life and real power. But the price is not bad considering they are developing a low volume kit. What are their performance goals from your kit? i keep reading up on turbocharging, your FI bike is going to be easier because of the pressure of the pump, the throttle body verse the carburetor and the level the ECM makes hooking up the require controls. Good luck with your decision if you do it some pictures would be nice. Joe |

joe, i posted a reply to this response but you obviously did not get the post. in that reply i mention the fact that there would be other motor mods done before i had this done to my bike. like a 1450cc big bore kit from axtell. complete with domed pistons and s&s connecting rods and s&s flywheels, a baker six speed tranny with chain conversion kit. by increasing bore, and not stroke, in various combinations this motor has produced as much as 150 real rear wheel horsepower on the dyno. and that's without a turbo on it. i will be looking to push in excess of 200hp. God only knows how many foot/lbs of torque. don't you think? -mike |

Mike,I have heard good things about Trask, and if all those mods are included it sounds like a deal. Biggest concern is fueling under boost to keep air-fuel ratio correct.I am interested to see how they do it.Keep us informed. |

that 7500 is just for the turbo. i want to have the motor work done before i have the turbo installed. |
