Depends...do you need to keep the "Cg" part of "SCg"? Or do you just need something soft and comfy? If you need the lower seat height, you could try a Corbin for any of the S models (other than Ss), or maybe even a stock seat from an older XB9SL. If you're ok height-wise, I'd second the Buell Select seat. |

The Select seat will raise your ride height on a Low model. About 1/2" to an 1" for sure. I bought the Select to replace my Low, hard as a metal pan, seat. I tippy toe without the riding boots. I'm 5-8. |

The only difference in the 08s are inside the engine, ecm & wiring harness. Frame and subframe are still the same. All the XBS seats (9S, 9SL, 9SX, 12S, 12Scg,) are interchangeable. I have the select seat on my cg as well and it is a huge improvement. I purposely went with the cg just so I could have a nice cushy seat and still touch both feet down easily on the gravely stuff. But now that I don't frequent the gravely stuff much any more I'm considering a change to the standard height suspension. (I don't need to be flat footed on asphalt).
The Select pictured looks much higher than the cg but it squishes down a bit when you sit on it. It is firm without being hard. It's great for many long miles. |

Why not the Corbin for the Ss Ratbuell? Is it the one seat that does not work well from them? I am considering the Corbin Gunfighter & Lady Long seat. http://www.corbin.com/buell/hdxb127lgl.shtml |

the Ss is longer, so the seat isn't the same on the Ss as the S, Scg, SL, Sx. |
