Well found the ECM Connector for anyone that's interested (behind the left pod). I think Zack was asking about this at one time. After riding this weekend, got back home to find this. Not sure exactly where this is supposed to be tucked back in and am concerned it will get melted by the cylinder if If I'm not careful. Can someone look and tell me how theirs is tucked away?

It's tucked in next to the ECM under the left pod. I've got all my plastic off right now and it has a track it lays in. If you take off the left cover, you'll see where it goes. Zack |

Yeah, I was looking at the connectors in my Snap-On scanner kit to see if I could hook it up to that. No dice. Anybody know if a "regular joe" can buy a Digital Tech? Zack |

No. Very Very Very Very Very Very dealer-only, updates once weekly and locks up if not updated and can only update from a dealer location. Even if you'd stolen one when they first came out, they revised constantly, and are now on DTII. DTI constantly had new features added and became quite a sophisticated unit. If someone could hack the lockouts, it would be a great thing to have, and I don't know why they don't sell over the counter, it's a great program. Even though I didn't see anything labeled "Big Secret" inside, I guess HD developed most of it in-house in conjunction with some software company (It's unlike ANY other Diagnostic program I've ever seen) and is therefore, proprietary in itself. I'm not one for stealing things, but the idea did occur to me..... I did seriously consider "borrowing" all 20 or 25 discs that were just laying around (And all said, "keep in a secure location" on them) to some computer-geek friends. But, I didn't. I guess Karma will smile on that eventually. I miss Digital Technician. That was the only co-worker I ever got along with. |
