I just installed A standard Drummer yesterday, With A K&N air filter, stock ECM. Am I going to have any problems with the stock ECM running to lean or any other problems? By the way the Drummer sounds kick a A$$ And it seams to be running as good probably even better than before, Although I just wanted it for the sound because the bike was running plenty good for me like it was before. I just didn't like the sound I do now! The bike is A 2007 ULY. 10000 Miles on it. |

go run it at 3000 rpm for 15 minutes so the ecm can adjust, then enjoy. |

I ran mine (on an '03 XB9R) with the stock ECM for about 3 months until I switched to the Race ECM. I replaced the plugs right before the ECM switch and they slightly tan but a bit too light colored for my taste which confirmed my concern about it running lean. I have since put about 30,000 miles on it since then and the plugs have been an even tan color each time and it runs great. Kevin indicated it should be fine with the stock ECM although if you get into the motor more then a simple pipe and filter swap...you should consider given the bike more fuel. Overall I have been very happy with my Drummer and the fuel economy has been improved too. |
