Have any of you used one of these and if so what size, how tall are you, did it work? I am going to Alaska, don't want a big windshield but think I need to block some wind. Definitely don't want helmet shake.

Looks like a good addition for riot control. |

I use one for cold weather/early spring late fall riding. I have the "standard hight one like the one pictured. It works well, no buffeting and good protection. I'm 5'9" and use a full face helmet. |

I have the tall version I'am a hair over 6' it works pretty good, sometimes crosswinds will cause buffeting on top of helmet, also passenger likes it better than the original with a laminar lip, in the summer I use the standard shield and the lip, long trips or cold I use the california scientific. I could email you some pics of it if you like. |

I just installed the Medium one. I like it so far, I'm 5'11" and I do get some helmet buffeting, but it's much better than the stock windscreen. I'm riding out to GA and back starting next week, so I'll let you really know what I think of it after a 2200 mile ride. Wayne |

I have a Cal-Sci tall windscreen. I don't use it cuz at 6'6" it sends the air right at my melon. I just use the stock now. If you are interested in it, contact me. }} |

Well, I bought the Shield from Skiman. Looked at it for a couple of days trying to learn to like it. Decided to put it on and try it. It was so ugly I had to close one eye to look at the bike. After I rode it for a couple of hundred miles it strangely became easier on the eyes. It may not be the prettiest thing I ever put on my ULY, but it may very well be the best. It sure does block the wind. |
