Well if Microsoft can patent double clicking and someone else pattented sitting in a chair, i dont see how hard it would be to trademark March badness. Hell i know that the NFL is trying to trademark "The Big Game" because everyone is using that to avoid paying fees for Superbowl. |

I was under the impression that Erik was coming to MB this year...was I wrong? I just spoke with his assistant and she told me "no way". Bummer, I was looking forward to chatting with him. |

Will they have neck gaiters? If so, I will print out a coupon at home and bring it with me. |

Jon Flickinger is the President & Chief Operating Officer of Buell motorcycle company and Vice President in Harley-Davidson. Anything happening with Buell has to be approved by this man and he is the main link to the parent company Harley-Davidson. Glitch had posted that Jon is coming to town |

Well, I checked the long range forecast and I surely hope it's wrong. It's scheduled to be 36 with a snow/rain mix on thursday when I am supposed to depart Cleveland. I've got my heated gear and I'm ready, but I don't feel like riding down for 9 hours in crappy weather. And Suches, says it's supposed to be 65-ish and rain for Thursday, Friday and Saturday... Ugh.... |

30% chance of rain Thursday 60% chance of rain Friday 20% chance of rain Saturday that sucks balls. riding unfamiliar, wet mountains roads is not on my fun list. DJ- I was planning on getting there wednesday evening. Not so sure with that forecast though. (Message edited by TORQUEMONSTER on March 20, 2008) |

That's my point really. Hell they're doin good (especially this time o year) three days out. I'd rather it be nice, but I'll bet a dollar to a doughnut we'll have a killer time regardless. |

Don't sweat it Travis. We'll get some good riding in. You only need to ride in any direction to get to the good roads. If it's raining, we'll wait for the sun to dry things out a bit. It won't rain all the time, maybe only at night, maybe not at all. |

The weather in Suches is not much different than here around Knoxville Tn. The saying goes "If you don't like the weather, wait fifteen minutes". I've been riding here for years. Sixty percent means you look at the weather maps to see which way to go to miss the rain. Unless they say seventy percent or better on a one day out forecast, you are gonna ride somewhere and not be wet. We have the mountains and valleys that tend to break up the fronts and move weather around. If you look for a report more than three days out they have a eighty percent chance of being wrong. |

Im just trippin' I guess. 20% and 30% chance doesnt mean jack here in Pcola, so I guess that applies anywhere else you go. As for the 60% on Friday...were going to the Dragon anyway, so maybe we'll see better conditions. Worst case scenario- I'll drive 400 miles to drink beer with 150 very cool strangers. |

DJ, We'll be there Wed nite around 9ish, with your chair!!! The Friday Dragon run is still a go, weather pending. Last October, we left Suches, it was raining and slightly chilled. When we got to Robbinsville it cleared rather nicely and became rather warm (even the Cherohala, except for the higest elevations). IF you go to the Dragon on Sat, be prepared to deal with the weekend warriors and John Q Law.... |
