I thought I had read that, and maybe if I have it done I will come up with some kind of design that will work for me. |

In the close up shot, I like the bigger one- Backed out, the smaller one does look more consistent. It ties in with the ridge in the swingarm. Z |

Not that it matters, but I think I like the narrower one better. |

Definitely narrow. The wide ones would be good if they were longer, the dimensions on the narrow ones are more consistent with the frame. |

It would fit a bit better with the pad on the airbox cover if the front lines followed through from the airbox to the frame. Just my 0.02. Glad I'm not the only one to be getting unwashoffable rubs on the sides of my bike frame from my riding suit. JJ |

Looks like we have the makings of a consensus here. I will experiment a bit more tomorrow. If nothing comes of it, then the pattern will be sent to Tech-SPec on Monday. Not sure on the time frame for a finished product, but when I sent in the pattern for the airbox protector--it was relatively quick. I'm hoping by possibly next weekend to mount and take some pictures. Of course, they will be posted here for all to check out. |

Thanks Harlan, hope those guys appreciate all the legwork you're doing for them. Sounds like they may get several orders next week. Between my legs rubbing on the frame and the exhaust dumping on the rear wheel and swingarm, I'm having a hard time keeping any visible blue on Loretta. Pretty sure "all black" is in her near future. No problem...it's sorta fun working on something like this, knowing that soon other people might be enjoying your efforts. Also, working with a company like Tech-Spec has made this a great experience. I gonna have the patterns sent on Wednesday as I had to leave town on business and didn't have a chance to finalize things over the weekend. The lower front edge is a little too straight compared to the frame for my liking--I didn't want to rush and compromise. I can sometimes be a perfectionist, which is probably both the best and worst of my personality. |

What's the status on these? I'm having a hard time holding on during hard acceleration. |

Tec-spec has the pattern and is going to produce the fitted frame pad for the 1125r very soon. I will take photos as soon as they come in. |

FYI...just received an email from Tech-Spec: Hey Harlan, We just had to reject our latest shipment of materials, so were going to be a little behind for the next couple of weeks. We’ll still a go with everything, we just need some materials now. |
