Ok, everything is ok now. Did the 10 min. ride. Idled the engine for 3 min while keeping it straight. Shut off the engine and waited 3 more min. Checked level while holding the bike straight and voila! Perfect. But you have to agree with me: this is the most tedious procedure to check the oil in any bike or motor vehicle for that matter! |

But you have to agree with me: this is the most tedious procedure Yep as others have mentioned it's almost comical to spend 16 minutes checking the oil. I'm sure glad knowing my oil level doesn't trigger my obsessive compulsive disorder. Other was I'd spend all my time checking the oil. |

Guys, thats exactly why its good to see the oil just at the bottom of the dipstick when cold. I check it just BEFORE a ride and it takes all of 30 seconds. Stay safe/ride more. Bob |
