My PayPal transfer is done too. This is probably one of the neatest things that's happened since Aaron came up with the idea to go to Bonneville in the first place. Not that getting all those records wasn't cool but this is the sort of thing that makes doing all this worthwhile. COOL, Very COOL! JB2 |

'Rocket - ICBM - Inter Continental Buellistic Missile'. and on the back '...Other side towards enemy' We like this VERY much........his shirt will be waiting for him along with his... KICK ME, I'm Rocket" I appoint Ferris Bueller to be the "Rocketdasher" and thereby responsible for outfitting Rocket DAILY during his trip to America. May I suggest an "I have no idea who the British guy is" shirt for his gal pal. Court |

Don't forget a skimpy halter top for his lady. Seriously, we need to make her feel welcomed. Should probably have a neato t-shirt for her as well eh? See how easily this goes and gets all complicated? |

I say Grizzly old chap, some of us (indeed many of us) are not Americans....you might usefully rephrase that last message to read "When this is what its about to be a Bueller. I wouldnt mind to be called one." And of course - you are one! So - it should read "When this is what its about to be a Bueller. I am proud to be called one." Way to go! This "friendship?...homogeneity?...family" transcends notions of boundary and nationality. That is what is so cool about it......... |

Listen Guys Please....... This is all very touching, and I feel from where you're all coming from, but I have to tell you this isn't just about finance. What I need to do is not been drawn in by the Bonneville thing. This doesn't mean I won't be going but I probably won't, it means I have greater considerations to consider back home. I'm greatful, thankyou, but I really don't want to be influenced by your generosity. Bonneville isn't a priority for me, but this kinda makes it one. Please understand, it's hard to resist what you're doing, but I'm not able to commit myself to this Rocket |

Oh c'mon you fluffy skirt. Your friends want you here. Just do it, don't be a stick in the mud. What, are you afraid to go 150? It'll have a steering stabilizer. Rocket, you only go around once. We're all mortal. You gotta jump on chances like this. |

The guy cuts off his lovely locks of hair, started losing weight, got 'imself a girl and is now trying to deny us the chance to see this for ourselves. I'd bet that extra dollar Blake threw in would just about gaurantee an old fashioned Texas ass-whoopin' if Mr Pepper didn't show. He'd probably fly to Hull and deliver it personally. Life is short. Family, friends and adventures make it sweet. Drink it up! Oh yeah... what Court said too! JB2 |

Rocket.....Look mate....first of all you are ROCKET, I am the TEAM MANAGER. You do what I say, got it? There are many of us here than can buy any motorcycle we want. Be it 200hp, the fastest 0-60, or the sleekest MV Agusta or Hailwood. Some of us have, er "over indulged" at times. Motorcycles, you see, have so little to do with it. When I first flew to Wisconsin to meet Erik Buell 15 years ago, I never saw the motorcycles he was making. It was the DREAM and THE PEOPLE that captured my soul. There, laboring for about what migrant California farm workers make, were Kimmy, Tom, Dave Gess and Henry Duga. These folks weren't passsionate about riding. Tom and Dave ride well, Tommy's more into dirt, Dave into the IOM and Kim and Henry's world revolves about Karts (NOTE: never call them "go-karts" lest you want to see a very quiet guy go violent} Fact is, as Erik and I sat there in the diner with his two babysittees, it's about PEOPLE. I was irrevocably caught in the dream, the motorcycles were secondary. To this day, and I'd submit that I in my travels, have met about an many Buellers as anyone walking the earth, I continue to be amazed with the PEOPLE and THE DREAM. Twists and turns along the way, most of them unexpected, only heighten my amazement. During my Buell years, I have been WAY UP and WAY DOWN. Interesting is that when the ol 7 figure net worth was washed away there went many of the business associates, but guess who stayed when times go tough? The Buell friends. Woz may have saved my life and sanity in these times one night as I walked off the stage with Bill Gates at the Cow Palace. I'm sitting the Buell Basement, as I type, looking at 4 bikes on lifts, only one of them is a Buell. But, the walls are covered with Buell memories of people, places and times. Fact is, Bonneville, and TEAM ELVES, is an excuse for a bunch of like minded passionate folks who have learned that life is more than next weeks pay check and that the difference between existing and LIVING comes from being passionate. I've long said that I care alot less about what a person is passionate about than I do that they ARE passionate. Yes, Rocket, you and your lady friend will be coming to Bonneville for several reasons. 1) Your friends WANT you there. 2) You are PART of OUR TEAM. 3) It will be a chance for folks from 5 counties to see something THAT UGLY go 150MPH. Eat me, Court |

Well, Sprocket, you've stirred up quite the little bee's nest. I like it. Allow me, from an older man's perspective, to offer you a little advice: Life is nothing more than a collection of memories. Better get 'em while you can. Capt. Pete And, by the way, I'm looking at over 5k miles of driving to Bonneville & back. There have to be a lot of good reasons to do something like that, and you're threatening to take one of those away from me. You willing to live with that guilt? |
