am i the only one that has noticed the 1125 uses T30 torx instead of the T27 like on the xb's?

i also noticed that the tail section is not exactly the same as the firebolt tail section even though it appears to be exactly the same. the pillion lock is mounted different. if you notice on the xb's the key is vertical when you put it in the lock. the 1125 key is horizontal. so in order to change tail sections and put one of my xb ones on, i had to cut another alignment notch in the xb tail key hole so it sits the same. i checked to see if it would work with the lock mounted the way the xb's are, but the cable is at a very bad angle and the back side of the lock looks like it will hit things even if you were to try and reroute the cable.

i think it is odd that those trivial things would be changed. why not use the same torx so one size fits all and i dont have to have a torx for my xb and another for my 1125.

then even though it is such a little detail, the key notch being different still requires a change during production on a piece that was already being produced.

has anyone noticed other odd details?

If thats not the same tail I wonder why they did not update it to match the new pieces?

I have a feeling that the reason they used a different torx size is due to them being metric...?
Perhaps, so one does not accidentally try to force a non-metric screw.
Although they are also color coded.

I never liked Harley's canceling turn signals myself. I've always liked being able to run the blinkers the amount of time I felt I needed, not the timer's.

my turn signals are permanently canceled...!

another thing i noticed (after it was painted, doh) was that the body mount tab on the bottom side of the tail right in front of the foot peg mounts is cut different. probably a third of the tab was ground off to make it clear the foot peg mounts. i had to do that while the new paint was still fresh. ouch!

I find it out there are not service manuals out yet. Seems weird to me.

also the 1125 doesnt come with the bushings in the body mount holes in the tail. i thought maybe they just got missed on mine, but they arent even in the parts book for it.

why would you put them on the firebolts and not the 1125. the holes are huge compared to the bolts. i ended ip taking them out of one of my firebolt tails for now just so i could take up the slack and not gouge the new paint.
