I have oil all over the side cover from the breather setup that needs cleaned off. Some carb cleaners may be safe for paint, but not the stuff I used.   Zoedogg1 Posted on Sunday, March 16, 2008 - 06:04 pm:        I use some stuff called Forever Black that I got from Schucks,and It works great. It keeps every thing black and looking new. I use te same stuff on my truck and car trim, rubber, and bumpers also. Won't harm surfaces.
