I picked up some metal flake with a texture at the local auto parts store and painted mine. They turned out ok and for 5 buck and 20 minutes I'm pretty happy.

Hmmm... That looks pretty good, I'll have to check it out. First order though is getting the latch replaced. The left side bag dropped about 1ft from a shelf to my carpeted floor and broke! Is that a fuel cell up on the rear rack? |

Its a Tourtank. It holds 4.5 gal. I only put 4 in when I use it. Once the low fuel light has been on for 20 or 30 miles I turn the petcock and it empties into the tank drain plug. I can get about 350 mile between stops. Which is only good if you are riding by yourself. If you're riding with someone they will hold you back from record breaking ride times (and a sore a$$) |

No, I put that tank on when Riders Edge is in full swing. The range is over 40 miles from my house and I was getting gas every other day. I haven't had a chance to do a Iron Butt ride on the Uly yet. But I did ride to the Dragon and back from Columbus Ohio in one day. One of many reasons the wife thinks I'm a few cards short of a full deck. |

Has anyone else used those mirrors? Are they significantly better (functionality wise) than the standard lollipops? They sure look 200% better!!!! I'm not a bar end mirror lover. |

Paul...excellent last name by the way! I test rode a Tuono awhile back and it had those mirrors...so when I found out they fit a Buell I had to get some! They have about the same surface area as the Buell mirrors but they have a better field of view I feel than the stock lollipops. I am biased though...I love Aprilia stuff though...I own an SR 50 scooter for tearin ass to work! And I think they were $29 each...can you beat that? Michael, My family on the Hill side is from Portland, Maine, so I don't know if you are part of that lineage or not. Thanks for the feedback on the mirrors. I think they're only $26 from American Sportbike, so I guess I'll be purchasing a pair. Paul |

I just put on a set of Tuono mirrors and Crossroads. One of the best mods you can make. Unlike the stockers, these mirrors are actually usable. Much less vibration across the board and a better viewing angle. I would recommend them to anyone. |

installed my new bars today, and took a ride against all good judgement in below zero temps. worth it. BTW, 7 degrees down angle, but same width as 0 degrees. Al from AmericanSportBike.com is the man. |

Cool, that pic makes me want to go riding/adventuring. I've noticed it's a regional thing about where to put your helmet when out on the road but not riding. It seems you Americans,Canadians and the Aussies all seem to hang it on the footrest which seems odd to us Brits. It strikes me that it would make your helmet lining dirty (doesn't bear thinking about if you'd trodden in sh#t!). This is the wrong place for this really,I'll start a thread in B,B&D. |

Clutchless, I like the look of your Crossroads bars, especially the new attaching hardware. Where did you get the new bolts at? Also, did you just cut down the ends to make them the same width as the 0 degree bars, or did you purchase them already at that width? |

Thanks guys, everyone knows the more you paint black the faster it goes. This gave me at least an extra 10-20 ponies. (at the wheel no less) And as far as the bars length, Al from Americansportbike.com had a mix up and made me a happy camper. I was going to cut a set of -7 degrees this way anyways, I think he's just catching on see this thread http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/17143/334132.html?1204933252 ask Al Lighton about getting yours, maybe he will make them a ongoing choice in your handlebar selection. required pic that has nothing to do with anything:

I wish it were my bike, but I have no desire to "almost" own the corners. I need to fully own them, it does make a wicked nice cruiser though. found it on the net one night, have fun! |

It's about time we start seeing some cool pics of 1125R's, don't ya think?
It's funny - you hardly notice the scoops in the last pic. Gotta love the European Buell stuff, 1313 |
