that's the prototype they've been showing for the last few years. sure would like to see a production version. the vmax was on my short list when i was in the market for a bike, but the styling was just too dated for my taste. |

Why didn't they redesign that seat? Everything else looks good but that seat is fugly. |

I don't think its dated. I just think something changed a bit. Different wheel's,wider rear tire,inverted fork,Better brakes,injected motor with maybe another 50HP. |

THAT is the bike that got me out of shaft drive. A leaning left bend in an sweeping turn and hard acceleration before the apex (which I love to do) will cause that bike to hop. That inch to two inches of float is NOT the kind of reassurance I need from a bike in a corner. Sold it for what I bought it for circa 1987. |

Owned one myself Cityxslicker. But I miss the bike. I bought a 86 new in 88. I blew it up. I had it rebuilt and bigger cams, different carbs,And then had it converted to chain. It was a beast. |

I know what you mean't. Thats why I had the short list connected to my post of the things that I see that need attention. Change those and the bike would look very updated. If I was to buy an older version though it would be a 85 or 86 though. HP figures and specs on the motor were better. |

THAT is the bike that got me out of shaft drive. There is a chain conversion for the V-max that isn't too expensive to fix that aspect of the bike. |

i've always loved the vmax, but i rode with a vstar midnight warrior. yeah, thats a fast one. i didn't realize that it could smoke the tires like that while coming off a stop light and still maintain control(the rider knew what he was doing). he's also planning on build a drag version for himself. |
