thump, it's like a lays potato chip, you just can't have one. it's not fair to yourself or the bike. if i had the extra money right now, i'd be looking at a firebolt, 95s2 and another m2. and if i was really doing good, there would be an xt also. look at it like this, you'll always have a back up bike. | ||

Ended up working till 2am again. I checked it out this morning. She's been beat on. The base gaskets, rocker gaskets, and primary gaskets are leaking. There seems to be a very large oil leak from the rear of the bike. It needs tires and the front fender is missing... It ran very poorly. I rode it down the street, she accelerates like a Blast and wobbled a bit. No X1 for me.... | ||

finance it through eagle mark, get the extended service plan, and file the warranty claim against the base gaskets. New top end ~1350 or so, we have done it acouple of times, the bikes are like brand new after the work. A Buell is a terrible thing to waste | ||

I was an adjuster at an extended warranty company for a few years, I'd get one through them. There's lot of other things wrong. It wouldn't make a bad donor bike, but I feel it's pretty far gone to make a daily rider without a ton of work. |
