Just now I checked the TPS reading (percentage and degrees) with EMCspys and the engine cold. Is a cold engine reading OK? The bible says if the TPS does NOT read between 5.1 - 6.2deg., to reset it. Well, mine reads 5.2deg, so i'm good it seems. I reset the TPS the last time i rode, about a week ago. Also, with the enginea cold, my AFV reads 105% - I reset this last week as well, then did the 10min. @ 3,500 steady RPM. Thanks. . (Message edited by johnboy777 on March 10, 2008) |

The bible says if the TPS does NOT read between 5.1 - 6.2deg., to reset it. There is no "has to be" value, the TP is set to a position, that idle speed is correct. Regards, Gunter |

Mine is happy at 4.6 and provides a rock solid 900 rpm idle. |
