I'll be heading out on June 26 with my wife and daughter. Since this will be my daughter's first long ride as a rider, we'll be taking it pretty easy. We'll be attending a 1/2 mile Dirt Track race in Bedford, PA on the 27th, then over to Lima, OH for the 1/2 Mile there on the 28th. then we'll head up to Wisconsin while giving Chicago a wide berth. We'll be staying at the Sheraton Brookfield (the Host Hotel) throughout Homecoming. We haven't decided which way we'll head home, yet, but we'll try to bypass most major cities. We're really looking forward to this; all three of us will be riding Buells; me on my Uly, Terri on her Lightning Long, and Andrea on the Blast. |

I'm staying at the host hotel as well. So far I am by myself. Don't know if I'm going to truck it or ride to the event. I leaving on the 1st or 2nd, no sure yet. I am thinking that I will go to Detroit and stay with some friends there for a night, possibly leave the truck there if I trailer it, and ride to the host hotel from Detroit. I am planning on taking the Cat across the pond as well. I believe that it is cheaper with just the bike instead of the truck. |

I can't take the extra time off to ride out... and my brother is borrowing one of my Buells, which means he has no long distance riding under his belt (or butt). No matter the cost, I'll most likely take the Cat across L. Michigan. I've travelled x-country to m/c events, riding and driving... so I don't mind renting a van and hauling the 2 bikes out. I can't wait. It's going to be a hoot! |

Hi guys my son just told me he want to go and I am just starting to make plans, we could use help, I never have gone to something like this and this far away, so it is new to my son and I, if you guys have any suggestions let me know like how much money it will cost and places to stay and how long it will take to get there and back would be helpful, I am lowering the uly for my son and in may he is moving up from the blast to the uly, I hope it is a smooth transition. If you want to stay where most of the things are happening then you want to stay at the Host Hotel. That's where most of us are staying. 90 bucks a night for 2 people. It is an 18 hour drive and you may want to take the ferry across Lake Michigan to save some time. You will have to mention Buell Homecoming to get the reduced rate at the Hotel. I believe that the ferry will have a reduced rate as well, they did last year. I'm leaving Tuesday or Wednesday and stay till Sunday. I'm thinking it will cost me ~$700 for the whole trip. |

Nothing just a card to reserve the room. You can cancel the room until 24 hours before your first night and they won't charge you. |
