Hey Guys: I know opnions are like A$$holes, but I have to agree with Stiguy that the coating is the way to go on the pipe. It also looks better and doesn't smell funny after it gets hot (like alot of women I used to know). The temperature will deinitely stay inside the pipe until the outlet and makes for better scavenging too. I just got mine done at American Sport Bike for about $169. |

Mel & Matt, good to meet you guys. I enjoyed the "bench racing" and havin a beer, have to do it again. Matt doing the wheelie thing is easy....just gotta find a parking lot or somewhere outta the "Po Po's" eyes. On my way home I had some dude in a car signalling me to stand her up. I couldn't resist an audience, I left the stop light, popped her up and hit 2nd with the front end up. HeHeHe...No Po Po. Mel you gotta put the Drummer or the D&D on yur 12. You wont regret it. i had a good time, kinda hard not too when in good company. i regret not riding today, but summer isn't even here yet. my 0.02: ceramic coating is pretty BA, but for a third of the price, i'd say header wrap is a better option, and you can re-wrap it if you have a spill. (knock on wood) i'll be wrappin mine next week. (Message edited by nillaice on March 09, 2008) |

Yeah.... It's alway good to have a beer with fellow Buellers! I think you should change your name Todd to "Iron-Man" (Sounds more appropriate after hearing all the war stories) I think I will definitely be looking at doing some of that wrapping cause I don't think I could take another summer roasting on my 12! Alright! Next time WE RIDE!!! |

Tank has some nice roads by his place. Maybe he can find a good choke-n-puke in the area to stop at. There's always Mel's dad's area too. |

Roads...Pretty good! Choke-n-puke??? Much better than that. Kevin gives credit, yet has never been on the "reservoir ride". (coined phrase by Mike) Anytime any of ya'll want to roll up here... |

Hey...ur right! The only thing Kev's been on was that ride where we ended up in Richmond? Hey I tell you every day almost I meet someone who says they have a Buell. I met a guy today that said he has a '08 Cherry Bomb XB9! He said that he an a buddy of his from HRHD (M2) were going up to Dinwiddie this Saturday for a "Drag and Tune". Anybody heard of this before? I'm getting the feeling that Buells aren't as rare as I thought. |

Mel, thanks, my wife would think otherwise for my nickname, more like D&%^ or Dumb A^%...LOL You will like the wrap, its easy to put on and I think it looks good, especially the black wrap. It definitely keeps the heat down. With all my incidents (4 broke toes, 2 broke scapulas, 1 dislocated big toe, 4 broke ribs, 1 collapsed lung, 1 dislocated shoulder, contused sternum.....) Im surprised she thinks draggin the Buell is safer...LOL
I guess if Im not airborne its Ok...LOL I heard there is a good ride to Richmond on Hwy 5 outta Williamsburg. Supposed to be a nice ride. You guys every ride Colonial Parkway? Lots of rangers but a nice ride. Just a thought. Goody

LOL. No a 'choke-n-puke' is a food joint. Haven't ya ever seen Smokey and The Bandit? Reservoir ride. Sounds good to me. Sat morning sound good? Weather permitting of course. http://www.accuweather.com/forecast.asp?partner=ac cuweather&traveler=1&zipcode=23604&metric=0 so where is the reservoir ride located? Just sayin' that we can do better than a choke-n-puke. Saturday could work, but I might get a late start. Might have an appointment in the AM. Reservoir ride is basically a zig-zagging loop west of the Burg' into New Kent. |

My Saturday appointment is confirmed for 9am. Let's say 10:30 at McD's Busch Gardens. And like Kev said, Weather Permitting! If it rains Fri night, the roads up here will be wet all day. I'll keep an eye on the weather and post up the conditions early Saturday morning(well, by 8am at least) |

hmmmmmmm.......... the bike show would be cool, but i wouldn't be spending the night. i'd have to leave the back pack at home so i'm not as tempted to buy a bunch of crap. i'd also like to just ride out for a 'smoke-n-joke' probably at a 'choke-n-puke type of establishment. i've got the whole weekend free'd up now that i'm done putting in my hardwood floor. when and where? |

Alright... I'm cleared for take off. Can we get a final count for Saturday? I've got a "tag along" (CBR900) Neighbor and need to determine if Saturday at 10:30 is still the Weekend Ride. I'll start off the count in the weekend rides section. |

Hey Guys OBX Bike week is from April 24 to April 27th. I would like to organize a ride for Saturday, April 26th. S1W Mike and I discussed this earlier, and now that I have a date nailed down, we can set this up. We'll meet at the state line rest area on 17 at 8:30am (?), then head to Kitty Hawk HD for starters, then hit the strand. Who's with me? |
