Mike . . . I'm easy to find . . . first BIG city you hit when you head West. Mike, he's real easy to find. All you have to do is suggest that it would be a good time to get some BBQ from the Dinosaur, then just be there waiting for him when he arrives. (Make sure you're not ANYWHERE near the Lincoln Tunnel, or he'll be there waiting for you when you show up an hour late!) |

We seem to have passed another milestone on the way to an actual book, H-D says they are OK with it. It is not "official" in any way but seemingly they have read it and find nothing in it to object to so we won't have to hide out in the back alley at Homecoming ;) We have tried to interest the publisher in advertising here but so far he is not budging from his position that he has a standard plan that he uses for all these types of books and he is not gonna change it for us. He is watch sales driven from this site so perhaps if he gets enough preorders from here he will ante up. www.whitehorsepress.com |

Just ordered mine from WHP. There is a pre-production discount on the website before March 31st. You can also leave Comments about your order...Referral from Badweb Buell website. I also put that in as the "ship-to company". Someone will notice. I may have to see if I can ship this to you guys to sign it. I don't have a good excuse other than I can't be at homecoming this year. |

Dave. . . if you get banned for advertising . . . I've got your back. I've also got a plan. This reminds me of the old Shel Silverstein cartoon in Playboy where the kid had the sign . . ."Refreshing Drink = $0.25". . . . Around the corner were all these folks laid out holding their throats with another sign that said "Refreshing Drink Antidote = $5.00". . . . I'm seeing a sequel . . . .Book = $29.95 . . the part HD legal cut out $50.00. I'm funnin' ya'll . . they have been amazingly accommodating. |

H-D says they are OK with it That's disappointing, but I'm sure I will enjoy it anyway. the part HD legal cut out $50.00 I knew there must be reason it is priced well. I'm funnin' ya'll . . they have been amazingly accommodating. Trying your hand at politics (or was I supposed to detect sarcasm?)? |

We wrote the book the way we saw it using the wealth of information we have collected over the years. H-D pointed out a total of about 5 errors. The asked us to chance exactly two comments and on one, after I gave my evidence they said it was alright by them. We did not give then any editorial control and the errors they found were real. (Not to imply that there were only 5 errors in the book, something like a dozen people read the thing, commented and found errors. Court ans I are not the only folks who were around "back in the day" and we sought these folks out. I also took notes while I was directly involved; I always wanted to wrtie a book about it. I think we have an entertaining, informative and accurate account. We did not tell every story we have, there just was not room, and some stories are better left to a campfire and not put in print until the guilty party is long gone. We tried our darnedest to include not only entertaining ones but also ones that reflect the overall sense of how we got here. The BMW headlight tale is a classic if I do say so myself. Hope you all like it. |

I just ordered my copy. I included this on the comments section: "Heard about the book on Bad Weather Bikers. You should advertise there! You would get a ton of business, most folks don't activly search out books anymore, a section on BWB highlighting a book now and then would generate MANY book sales." Brad |

Just ordered mine...hope it gets here in time for Homecoming, they say June 08 availability. Hopefully they're on time (or early)! Now I just need to forget I ordered it, so I don't have three months of "where's Santa with my new present" in the back of my head, LOL. |

Almost started another thread to ask: Any dates? I ordered 3 through Amazon before realizing that I could directly through Whitehorse. If there's a small CHANCE that some can be auctioned off at Homecoming with autographs, I'm betting they'd raise some SERIOUS dollars for a charity and some lucky souls get to leave with a collectible piece of history! Looking forward to reading/gawking when they are released. |

Any dates? I'm not dating anyone at this time. Are you available? Perhaps we can hang out at Homecoming and see how we get along.

I don't like dates. I don't like figs either. I do like pomegranates, but I always make a large mess when I eat them. (I'm such a slob) |

Good points about diet and lifestyles! (don't tell Sunny about either) Besides, too many dates are a bit rough on my system and makes me pretty unpopular in groups. |

Steve: I once had a date that was rough on my system. God bless her. . . . at least she was popular in groups. Court |
