Damn the luck, Steve! I'm gonna ride anyway(unless it rains again!). My son is also planning to ride, so that's at least two bikes from SW Houston. Hope a couple of you Woodlands types get to go... Remmick? B2M2? John? 'Busa boys? r-t |

Guys, sorry we missed you, we hung out at Newman's until after 10:00, then headed back to town on 529. Must have missed you at the Burleigh turnoff by no more than 10 minutes. Next time I'll check my cell phone for messages! r-t |

Hey What about Bob!...hopefully you are OK after the ride on Sunday. We pulled off in Magnolia to bid you farewell but realized you were not in back of the pac. Steve and John spun back about 3 miles to look for you with no success..guess you cut off before Magnolia. Not a good feeling to lose one of your fellow buellers. Double wammy for me since I failed to help rr on Sunday. REM |

Sorry, Glen. Didn't mean to freak anyone out. Next time I'll be more clear that I'll be taking an early exit from the group. I didn't need to go as far as everyone else. The next time the wives stay home, I'll lead one hell of an adventure if everyone is up to it. Go where the front wheel is pointing, where we end up is where we meant to go. Due to that plan, I've been on just about every back road in all the counties surrounding Harris, so I know my way around pretty well. Just don't ask me for names, I never remember them. My day trips end up being between 300-400 miles solo, but I can shorten them if need be. Maybe we'll find that girl on the Ducati again, without the squid boyfriend hopefully! I think they stopped because he scared the crap out of himself when he came down from the wheelie. hehe |

Hootowl; I'm sure not looking forward to being in your shoes next year and missing rides if my wife has to work on a sunday. gonna have a little one coming in Dec. We may have to start a topic on childcare here. It's been about 17 yr's since I had to change a sheeeety diaper. Any advice? new fastening teqniques? torque spec's still the same? does a 10 lb diaper still hold 10 lb's of goo? ............ |

They're doing wonderful things with plastics these days. A diaper will actually hold all the doo doo a baby can produce in three lifetimes, so they under engineer them to keep sales up. Hint...if you mess up on the torque specs enough, your supervisor will fire you, and do it herself. |

No need to give up Sunday rides. If I can fit 2 cats in a T-Bag, then 1 baby should fit just fine! A large stash of diapers should make it a comfy ride for the kiddo. Don't forget to leave a zipper part way open so he/she can breathe. This past spring, a couple at the HOG#1 BBQ had a Duck and Trumpet with fully enclosed, super-aero side cars, 1 kid in each. Could be worth a look into. It also would hold 10 bags of ice and 5 cases of GOOD beer (none of that LITE crap. Sorry Glen).} Also would make a good place to sleep after a fight with the wife! |
