looking at picking up a 2003 for about 1500 anything i should look for only has 5k on it. this would be my first street bike past riding done for 20 years on dirt. any ways anything i should specifically check out or look for with this bike before final transaction? |

Check tires, rocker box leak, front engine isolator and do not remove bracket bolts and right side rear wheel bearings. |

Make sure it runs and you should be fine. EZ |

Oh yeah, watch yourself, riding on the road is a bunch different than riding on dirt. Be careful, take a training course, I was really suprised how much I learned when I took it. |

thanks for the info. everything looks good only concerns would be there is small leak from clutch cable and throttle cable seems to have alot of rub ware on it. clutch cable doesnt leak much and hd service guy said that probably just slap some silicone on it and it would be just as good as new. should i be worried about the throttle cable? i have done some road riding (only about 500 miles) on a 250 enduro for a while there just wasnt enough power and wanted real bike |

The clutch cable just needs a new O-ring. If the throttle cable looks worn, but there aren't any hanging wires and it's not about to break, you should be ok. |

the clutch cable looks like it got pinched after sitting for a day and had been ridden for about 30 min proir to parking there is maybe a drop under it but it is from the cable its self. thanks i will check on that as well though |
