Need to get my 1,000 mi. service completed in the next month or so - my dealer (at least from my POV) doesn't really cater to Buells. I live 1.5 hours from Cleveland and 1 hour from Pittsburgh - any recommendations would be very much appreciated. Thanks. |

My brother likes New Castle Buell in New Castle, Pa. on route 22 north west of Butler. I have been their and seems good. |

Hey Chief, I live outside Youngstown, and bought mine in Mansfield. About 2 hours away... looks like you live in Columbus and bought yours in Y-town. Jcbikes, Called New Castle Harley - the Buell tech was gone - he was at Buell School, of all things. The Serv. Mngr. was great to talk with - he said Rob, his Buell tech, worked on all of their race bikes when they raced Buell... very cool. Scottykrein, Thanks, but that's about 2hrs from me. John. |

South East Harley in Cleveland is Buell friendly. I've never had anything serviced there though. They have a huge showroom and a restaurant inside to make yourself comfy while they work on your bike. Lake Erie Harley is west of Cleveland another 30 minutes. They're Buell friendly as well and have treated me very well. Had my 5000 mile service done there last year. No problems. You should be able to find something closer to you though. |

They guys at SE HD-B are very friendly. Their work on my Uly has been great. Like Dentfixer said, they have the Harley Diner inside, bring a BIG appetite. They serve a mean breakfast and lunch. It opens with the service dept, but before the main store opens. They might be focused on Harleys, but they love to see a Buell come in. They know what they are doing. The next closest HD-B is South in Canton. |

Thanks Jflaig & Dentfixer, Southeast HD seems like another good option; I can be there in about an hour from my house, and end up in Chagrin Falls for some baby back ribs, fries and clam chowder at Rick's. . |

Let us know when you plan to be up here. Maybe some of us can meet you there, keep you company, while you wait for your bike. |

Yeah, let us know. I live about 10 minutes from Lake Erie HD/Buell and they have been very good to me and my Uly. When my bearings went out three days before a scheduled long trip to the Smokey Mountains, they got the parts quickly and my bike back to me in time to leave. And their Buell guy (Mitch - not sure if he is there any more) is great. I was just at the Buell dealer in Youngstown last week and they seem very nice. I talked to a few salesman and a service tech and both seem to really know Buells. Southeast HD isn't bad. I haven't heard good or bad. I've been there, test rode a XB9X to get the computer bag and just to chat. Not real Buell friendly is my impression. Mansfield Buell is nice as well. I REALLY like them, but they are quite far to for service for me. Then again, after my 1000 miles service (performed at Lake Erie Buell), I've got all the tools and know how, so I'll be performing my own 10k mile and so on services. |

New Castle HD/Buell is a very Buell friendly shop. The owner rides a Uly even. They are also a lot closer to you than Cerini's would be. Can't speak for any of the other shops mentioned here though. |

Jonhboy777, we need to get the "family" together and take the "kids" out to play. Once you get your bike serviced, wherever, give out a shout, and maybe a group of us can go riding, and then go eat some ribs. Once this snow crap is gone and it's safe to ride again, I'll be out there tearin up the roads. Contact info in RAN. (Message edited by jflaig on March 09, 2008) |
