Blackhawk is a great track for showing off the strengths of our Buells, unlike Road America with the huge straights. You will get in more laps and therefore more chances to get the various corner entrances and exits dialed in. It will be worth it to those that go. |

The tech sessions at the factory continue, the dinner is an addition. |

And . . . (I'm ready to be wrong again . . . ) but I'm betting the tech sessions will not be at the factory. There is simply not enough room. I expect they will take place at the hotel. But. . . . I also have one other (the empty building next door) idea in the hopper. One way or another . . they are always a hit. I'd withhold judgement on the $50 till you get details . .. I suspect that covers more than iced tea and a salad. Call it a hunch. |

After thinking about it for awhile. Doing a track day that far away from home may not be the wises choice to make. So... dinner with Erik and R/A will do. |

They ride here and want to ride home. Not look for parts or worse be injured during the stay. If you trailer in thats one thing. But I do completely understand the feeling about the risk. |

In addition, with that many folks and so many things going on there are too many distractions for me to try to squeeze in a track day. Especially after staying up to the wee hours the night before and then getting up at "zero dark thirty" to drive to the track. Good call. Trust me . . . there is something at Dana's bar that will get your attention off any sorrow you may feel.

The host hotel is the best place to let loose and be unresponsible. That way we can just carry you to your room if needed. |

Last year I drove a group and given the hilarity and chicanery on tap for this year I'd be willing to organize a team of designated drivers. |

If need be that someone or anyone is in need. I will not let you ride your bike anywhere. I'll drive you (plural).I don't want anyone hurt or worse. I want Homecoming to be a good memory not one to try to forget. |

No . . no . . no . . no one thought that. These deals have a way of starting as good parties and turning into spectacular parties. It was so funny . . .cause there was a time when one Buell owner could drive and ALL the rest could ride in the same car. This is going to be a lot of fun this year . . . heck . . I may even (don't ask, it's not without precedent) charter a bus to do to and fro shuttle between the hotel and Dana's Place. Heck . . maybe Blake and I will drive the bus . . .then you would have a tough "risk allocation" choice. I'm kinda thinking of renaming the joint from The Boiler Room to Dana's Place for Homecoming.

There's a guy selling banners/flags down in the classifieds here, maybe he can make you up a Dana's Place flag for the door down there. |

Thanks Court.... I'm really hoping to have Erik again this year. I've gotten no commitment yet but he really wants to. That was a fantastic night. Thursdays at The Boiler Room are usually a busy night none the less with Softball teams and what not. But I really took the time to walk around talk to everyone. The place was all Buell enthusiasts. I had only 5 count'em 5 people that were locals in the joint. I want to do this again soooooooooo bad. I'm hoping to talk with Erik soon to see if he has any idea of whats instore for his own commitments.

Well, like I said I haven't spoke to him in awhile. If he plays at the Victorian like he did a couple years ago that will mean a 1hr 20min ride back to the host hotel. He will play there in the evening hours after the races. I'll speak to him soon. |

no matter....I'd like to visit your place! Don't think I'll make the Tiki and then ride back to the hotel. Thought I might stay up there but already booked the hotel and then need to head home sunday. Saturday will be a long day! HOPE TO MEET YOU THEN! |
