Kevin at Drummer exhaust told me that he wanted to be the best not the first.

Also I have been studying the exhaust system and it is very complex and I think it is going to be a long time before we see an exhaust made for this bike that increases hp and tq all the way not just upper or lower power band.

Maybe if I get a tig welder for my birthday I might give it a try.

I just want a nice sounding exhaust that is not that loud but you know when it is coming.

I want to set off car alarms and make the ground shake.

but seriously, one aspect that I admired about the Drummer was that I could just easily cruise around with a nice deep rumble and not be obscene, but once you cracked those RPMs that puppy would scream.

Best example was a day that I was out cruising and a young boy walking with his mother heard me coming. he stopped and looked and started waving and jumping up and down with joy.
I was coming up on him fairly fast so Instead of waving I pulled in the clutch and blipped it twice..... poor kid lost all joy and ran crying to hide behind his mom.. I felt so bad for him.

Then again, I've seen grown men run out from their backyards to give me a thumbs up.

Nick - funny story, lol.

I don't have anything like that, but I once reved the bike right after I started it parked by a sidewalk. A older woman was walking her little yap dog right behind me as I did it. Dog ended up in a nearby bush shaking, lol.

Kevin told me he is not a in rush on the 1125R project.

On a related topic, nobody seems to be doing any scientific research, but I do believe that a Drummer on full song is an extremely effective Deer Repellent.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Normally the deer around here will jump into a car or bike, but when they hear a Drummer, they go back into the woods, or at least wait on the side of the road for it to pass.

Of course that only works when the kettle is on the boil, but there's no sense hanging back on a twisty road through the woods, am I right, my brothers?

true, there is no scientific evidence so I can only speak from personal experience.
I have also experienced this phenomenon of deer and other animals running away back in to the woods after installing a Drummer. Once I was riding with a friend on a ZX14 and a deer actually ran from me towards him...

word of caution: I was up late one night watching something on Discovery or TLC where they did do some research and it showed that deer will always run back to where they came from when they encounter danger. The only time they will deviate from that plan is when they reach their maximum threshold of fear and then they just panic.

This explains why they sometimes they will run from your left side to get in to the woods on your right side.
