First, what is the inner diameter of the clip that connects to the end of the handlebars? I have barend mirrors that incorporate a 'post' which secures them to the bars...so my thought is if it is the same diameter I would just be able to install them to the mirrors.

Also, how do they mount to the other side of the grips? Thanks in advance!

The hole for the handguard is quite small.

Also, the handguard attaches to the bar on the other side of the handgrip by a metal bracket that has a long bolt running hrough it vertically, creating a three point(in all) attaching, pivoting handguard.

Thanks for the info...but I'm afraid you're a bit late in arrival, lol. I picked up a set of hand guards in the fall and modified them to fit. Very happy I did as they definitely helped my finger tips!

To do the same thing, I ended up putting a small hole in each of those "ears", and using a black cable tie to hold them snug to the bar. Looks and works fine.

Agreed, my fingertips have, many times, been at the mercy of the cold. But with the handguards, I feel more protected...and warm.
