I have a tank mask. It has a elastic strap on the front. Where is that hooked or connected to? On the rear it has 2 tabs with velcro on them, where do you mount velcro on the bike? Thanks Mike |

Remove tank vent tube. Put the elastic under the front left and right corners of the tank and then it comes up over where the tip of the tank comes through the tank/frame mount spot. Then pull the mask down against the tank. It will start to take the shape of the tank. The velcro goes under the seat at right where the two tabs lay. Test mount the seat and see how it stretches the mask. Take the seat off slowly while looking where the tabs lay. This is where the velcro goes. Hope this helps. |

I have some experience with tank masks on my M2, but I think they all work the same for the tubers. The front has an elastic "waistband" , which you have to be careful stretching over the front end of the tank, if you "stretch it out" because it hangs up on something under the tank, it won't hug the tank properly if you ever have to remove it and put it back again. The only real problem though is these horseshit velcro "strips" you're suppose to affix on your tail section which holds the rear of the tank mask on. These use a real lousy adhesive that generally fails after the second time they get wet. I 've had to glue mine in place. |
