I have searched all over the various message boards and everywhere I could think of and I can't find anything on how to properly use this software to tune my maps. I installed ecmspy last night and I have saved my stock fuel maps and eeprom. Everytime I open Megatune, I get a box that says controller code version does not match signature in megasquirt-I.ini. then it has a couple values and it says it is corrupted and I should terminate the program..... So if anyone can help or point me in the right direction on how to really tune up my maps and use this software I would really appreciate the help. I have basically no clue on tuning anything. I did install new plugs and I pulled the first wheelie today, so the top end is strong, but I have a hesitation off idle and it just feels lame down in the lower rpm ranges. I have an 03 9r with a race kit. Thanks in advance for anyone who can help point me in the right direction! |

Sounds like you may want to un-install and reload mega log viewer. You should not get an error message just launching the program. http://www.efianalytics.com/MegaLogViewer/ Once megalog viewer is running properly you will need to data log with ECM Spy so that you have data that megalog can read. You will also need to load the map used during the data log. |

I just uninstalled and reinstalled Megatune and I still get the same error box when I launch the program. My megalogviewer program works fine, I just need to do some logging and get the ball rolling on that.... Do I need to use megatune to tune my maps or does megalogviewer also do that function? |

I have not used Megatune only megaviewer. It looks like Megatune is a logging program. You should use ECM SPY for logging data and megalog viewer for reviewing results. The megalog viewer has the buell properties.ini file with it. There is a VE analyzer built into the megalog viewer. But its not that easy to use because there are lot of manual settings that need to be adjusted for the VE analyzer to read the AFR values. I would spend a lot of time reading on this forum about it before attempting it. http://www.ukbeg.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file= viewtopic&t=24254&highlight=megalog+viewer |
