Monday I took the bike to work and then Iron Pony afterwards. When I came out of Iron Pony, it was a whiteout. Thick, wet snow. The roads were garbage. One of the managers let me park the Buell in the warehouse and gave me a lift to where the OL could pick me up. Yesterday I rode 30 miles to get the bike home and passed a bank sign showing 12 degrees... Today... there's a couple inches of fluffy stuff and it's still coming down... Come on March! To top it off, this weekend I'm going to a trade show in Nashville, upper level management has dictated that I HAVE to ride a bus with everyone else and we can't leave the hotel for three days... |

upper level management has dictated that I HAVE to ride a bus with everyone else and we can't leave the hotel for three days... LMAO, the upper management must know you guys all too well! Set me loose in Music City and I would bet the Buell that I would get into some sort of trouble. I know you guys wouldn't go out and howl on the companies dime. The bus ride really sucks, unless its a charter without any other folks aboard. |

It's a chartered bus, but I'm not looking forward to it. My counter guy fell Sunday at home and may have ruptured his spleen. He called of the past three days and was held over night at the hospital. No one can run the store soo... I may have dodged the bullet. My idea of fun does not include an 18 hour day of seminars and automotive parts... |

Here in Torrance, we enjoy our snow, from afar, 60 miles away on the mountains, where it belongs. I do feel for you guys that live in that stuff; I sure couldn't do it. I haven't warmed up since spending basic training at Ft Lewis,WA. That was winter '71. Spent the following winter in Korea. Between those two, that was enough cold and snow to last me for life. |

Be of good cheer Teeps, when we get a half inch of snow the entire puget sound closes down. mayor comes on tv and says for public safety stay home, dont drive.... I dont mind the "forced" snow day, gives me a chance to play. |

I have never heard suck a bunch of whiners. WINTER ROCKS!!!
If you don't like snow then move to Mexico. If you don't want to be a slave to the weather then find a new hobby and hit the trails. Store that bike and jump on a sled! You will want the snow to stay until spring when you can bring the bike out of storage. If you want something closer to a bike then get a Snow Hawk. Look it up! |

For you Northern dwellers. Just for a bit of encouragement, I sent these guys up your way. Well, I mostly just watched them while my son and I were fishing last balmy Sunday afternoon. Bunches and bunches headed your general direction. I don't know exactly where they go, but if it was going to be too ugly for too long, I think they would hang around down here a while. I hear them almost every day, and enjoy all those sounds of confusion. Sitting on my brother's dock on his pond
fishing and reflecting
I heard those critters and had a knew spring must be coming

Rotzaruck, If those are Canadian Geese they will soon be invading every square inch of waterfront and park areas and leaving Goose S**t 3" deep. I don't know when hunting season is down there, but you could help "Keep Canada Clean" by bagging a couple of thousand a year! |

we got those things around the ponds here at work and they are disgusting. i walk around the block every day and i'm always trying to avoid the land minds even on the road. make sure you use a sawedoff to catch as many in one shot. |

Nah, they're sandhill cranes. They make all that confused commotion. I really don't even know if they are coming or going. I see them in the daytime and hear them at night. I'll send all those ground greasing gooses I can too though. I think they ought to take the cranes off the list though, looks like we've got lots and I've heard they are good to eat. |

That was just flurries Ben, you should see what it looks like when it SNOWS!!! Btw, the third pic could be my street (although it's not) most all winter long AND the forecast is for 8"-12" today, more in persistent snow bands... As Crusty so accurately puts it, WINTER SUCKS!!! Just rolled in the driveway and parked the rental car. I woke up in Northern Georgia this morning, beautiful weather, then made the treck north to all the snow in Michigan. When I left I figured that by the time I got back all the snow would be gone and spring would be very close. I wish I never left Florida. Swampy, dutifully protecting the northern borders from the coming Canadian invasion for over 50 years. |

Swampy, Just leave a bunch of Doggie treats along the border. When our sled dogs stop to eat them, you'll have us! |
