yes it does it allows dual signals to ecm for faster communication between components. |

That is how the 1125r can determine when to shut down the aux outlet. Circuits that can think. Neil S. |

That is how the 1125r can determine when to shut down the aux outlet. Circuits that can think. Are you sure about that? The 1125 doesn't use a SWS (single wire) CANbus system like BMW's. Isn't the 1125's aux outlet linked to the "accessory" fuse? Not trolling, just curious. (I'd love to see Buell implement a true SWS electrical system on future models.) |

Towjam: It's just a SWAG, based on other CAN bus systems. Is it a true SWS? Without an 1125r in my garage or a wiring diagram, that's the best I can do. Do you have a better guess? I am interested like you and, 15 or 5000 other riders. Later Neil S. |

The 1125 definitely doesn't have an SWS - I pulled down the owner's manual to check. My experience with CANbus is limited to BMW's SWS implementation (which I actually like as it eliminates fuses). However, it is possible to have a CAN system without an SWS system (eg Kawasaki Concours 14, Victory Vision) - it may be that the 1125 has a similar implementation but I've not seen anything in the marketing material referencing it. Here's more info from wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canbus |

TJ: I can't remember where or who told me about CAN and the 1125r but, that doesn't surprise me anymore. I'll try and document my source better ;+} Neil S. |

the can bus on the 1125r is a dual signal wire system with a resistor to balance the signal load. |

no ...you see...all those folks kicking cans down the street because they were depressed they didnt have an 1125r ended up getting on the CAN BUS.
