Pretty much any tuber wheel, either Marchesini, Castalloy, or PM (polished).

There are differences between the pre and post 2000 PM wheels (width of the hub).

Be careful.

There are some different ways you can go, but what's your plan? Don't tell me the wheels on that project of yours are no good! you've had more than your share of headaches from that thing! If it's just style your after I'd see what Arlen Ness has,and what some of the other wheel makers can come up with...bring a deep pocket! Custom is costly!

Oh yeah, just got worse too. Leaking oil from the case.

PMs are nice, I was just considering going black and watching for some cheap ones on ebay. I know I can powder coat but the one PM wheels here that are powder coated black just don't do it for me. I also imagine that selling the PMs would pay for the black wheels and then some.

I thought that was how HD marked it's territory, leavin a little puddle wherever it goes. My X1 has me chaseing oil leaks all the time,if I haven't over filled a little, then the lines in n out of the oil pump are seeping. I guess it's the nature of the beast. And your right black powder coat PMs don't sound all that cool.

Buellistic - please verify which PM wheel is wider by 0.10" at the hub; the 1990-2000 or the 2001-2002. I would have to do some searching but I believe the newer PM (without slots) is wider. This interferes with direct replacement.

Cast wheels? I have no idea.

the only thing to be careful for.

earlier speedos work off of the wheels. newer ones are electronic. I believe that affects the front wheel....rex

I believe when Buell did away with the cable driven speed up front was probably the only change that will effect the hub width. Anybody know different please correct me.I know my 96 has the cable speedo and my 99 has the trans sensor, I will check in the morning to see what the 98 has.

All the spacers needed to use any OEM Buell wheel are available from your local Buell parts dept.
YOU will need to know what year the wheels are to get the correct part. Just ask to see the parts book for the year and model of the WHEELS. Not your bike. This may be contrary to how your parts guy wants to work. Be nice, have patience, and you will have the correct spacers an a week.
