Someone, please tell me that the 1125 is worth it! I'm getting a little bit worried with all this stuff going wrong. |

Stay the course Krav. I put my deposit down the day after Doerman did and finally picked mine up on Saturday. It will NOT disappoint you. |

I wouldn't buy it until the electrical problems are fixed so you know there will be a quick resolution if you have the same problem. |

I don't have any $'s down on mine so, I guess I'm in the "Chicken" scenario versus the "Pig" scenario (You remember the involved versus committed story ;+)} I don't have any 2nd thoughts because I know that this issue will be resolved. I am just waiting on my taxs to get completed before I trade in my 04' Firebolt. If I have been a good boy this year I won't owe the IRS too much and the 1125r will be in my garage by mid-March! Mike: You mentioned transfering warranty. Do you have the H-D extended warranty? Do you know, or anyone else, if this can be done? I have the H-D extended on the Firebolt and would like to xfer it to the 1125r. Thx Neil S. |

I my opinion, its well worth it. I'm one of the unlucky few who has had electrical problems. It's really a minor issue that will be sorted out soon. I have lost zero saddle time due to the electrical issue. The bike has phenomenal handling and performance and really is a rare machine that has the complete package. My only real problem is every time I ride it, my face hurts from grinning too much. Go do a demo ride and decide for yourself. (Message edited by spectrum on February 18, 2008) |

Mine (#612) had the charging problem. To be honest, I didn't consider it to be serious enough to take the bike in. However, my bike was on loan to the Buell team to help diagnose a different problem on Capt Nemo's bike. They decided to look at the stator on mine at the same time. The stator they put on my bike is the production piece, and charging output is fine now. I love my bike, but I bought in spite of it being a new product. I wanted the bike so badly that I was willing to take the chance on teething problems. It's your money, so go with your gut. I am very happy with my decision to buy. Jack |

Ride it, all doubt will evaporate. For the warranty question, the only way an extended service plan can be transferred is from owner to owner within the same VIN number, not from bike to bike. You have 2 options when you trade in your XB - they can give you more on trade for the warranty term (that's what we usually do), or you can cancel it and cash it out. Option one is quick, painless, and works for everyone (because the dealer now has an added value tool for selling that bike: "Comes with extended warranty!"); option 2 takes time and involves a decent amount of paperwork. Either will net you some cash though. |

Go for it. I have had one incident that keep my off the road for 3 days. Now that i know that my bike is one of those affected, I can plan accordingly until the fix comes out, which will be sooner than later. It is a phenomenal machine. |

900 miles, serial 142. Full heated gear, heated grips. It just works. Had it out today. One problem is that it doesn't like to point towards home. |

What Garret2 said. Misery loves company. Asking owners is not scientific at this stage they are all in theta defending my expensive decision mode. honesty takes awhile to appear for many. I'm waiting for version 2.0 myself. |

. honesty takes awhile to appear for many. That irritates me a bit. As if I am not honest when I tell you I have 3500 miles on mine and loving it. Only downtime was 1 hr while they replaced the front O2 sensor. |

Someone, please tell me that the 1125 is worth it! I'm getting a little bit worried with all this stuff going wrong. The majority of the people on here will say yes. The answer is with you. If you get one that has problems are you willing to possibly let it sit in the shop or have it in and out of the shop until it gets sorted out? If you are then it is probably worth it. If you aren't willing to take that chance or you are going to be angry if it does have issues until they get sorted out then maybe it isn't worth it. |

I put a deposit down on a 1125R today! 4 of my 6 Buells were new models that year! 96 S1 Lightning = too much fun! 99 S3 = Recalls, F.I. Trouble, Buell fixed it all. (first model with F.I.) 03 XB9R = never went back to dealer in the 3 years I had it. 06 XB12X = Kickstand bolts, Buell fixed it I can't wait for better weather and my 1125R! |

If you're impatient, there are several on the floor in the Denver area. Last I knew there were only two on the road, mine and another, in Colorado, but several in the showrooms. Lincoln's not THAT far away...it'd be worth the trip, IMHO. Look at the bright side, if you rode it home, it'd be almost broke-in by the time you get there. Z |

Ccryder yes it can be transferred I called yesterday and it is automated system and I should be getting a form in the mail to swap the warranty to the 1125R, it is the extended one I bought with the ulysses and I could rent a car from enterprise and just had to put down a 150 for deposit and found out it only covers car rental for ten days or 750 dollars not to the bike is fixed, and I went way over and owed 350 dollars and they did not tell me that and learned it from the car rental place when they told me they were not getting paid I thought it was till the bike was fixed, and it is written down so can not fight it. Then the girl I gave the cash to stole it and they tried to pin it on me, I still do not know if things are final yet so I got to call my bank and see if it is over, they gave me back the cash while they investigate the matter. I am going to the head office of enterprise car rental and going to get that girl fired for stealing the money when this is through. I got to say it has been really bad fall and winter for me and hope it gets over soon, I have never had bad luck like this, well 1990 was worse got hurt on my job then was in a accident and lost my wife so I guess I can laugh at this now. Mike: Who did you get the warranty from? Mine is the Harley-Davidson Extended Service Plan Motorcycle Service Contract. So far I have had two people from Dealers tell me I can get a refund, pro-rated, of the unused portion. Guess we will see. Neil S. |

Zac, funny you say that, cuz I'll be in Denver this weekend for a Krav seminar. The thing is, I'm getting the bike for $11,995, out the door, due to some issues that I had with my XB12Ss. |

Ccryder it is the harley extended plan and you have to go to the dealership for a refund, but to swap it over to another bike is easy, just call the number on the card and an automated voice will guide you to the page for transfering the warranty to another bike and will send a form to fill out so you probably be able to do it tonite, have your card ready it asks for the numbers and your name.
