Anyone going? It's gonna be wild as usual. Me and a handful of Buellers from our neck of the woods are cruising down. |

Me and 3 other `bolts are riding down from our homebase in Jacksonville on Thursday. We will stay the weekend and cruise back on Sunday. I'll send out my info through PMs if any of you guys want to grab some drinks or ride Old Dixie. I have only met one other Badwebber as well. Wouldnt mind meeting other idiots. I mean Buell lovers. |

Well, you will see a couple of Buells if you stop at Ed Walden's bar. It's the best place in Daytona...An old converted gas station on Beach St. about 10 blocks south of Intl Speedway Dr. Cheap beer and a great 'dive' with a pool table. |

Put out a call for all Buellers to show up. Could be fun. I've only met my sales guy who also happens to be on BW. |

For those going to Bike Week keep in mind that the Buell stunt team (Team Xtreme) and Erik B. and his band will perform at Seminole HD/Buell on Thursday (I4 at Sanford). That afternoon would be a good time/place to meet up. Also, I highly recommend Pub 44 that same night. Bands, Bike Bash, etc. http://www.seminoleharley.com/ http://www.pub44.com/frame2.htm Frank |

We will also be watching the race. We generally watch from the infield. Sometimes however, it gets so packed in there that it's just as good to watch from the stands. I would really like to check out Seminole Buell, as I have never been there, but I don't think we will make it there on Thursday. I, along with one of the other riders work that day and won't be on the road till after 5pm. I assume we will just head right to the `Tona. Definitely will be making our way through a lot of bars. It would be cool to get some of us together and talk about our bikes, which we all love to do. Then, of course, ride. |

Im planning on riding up for the day on Sat 3/1 and then on Fri 3/7 and Sat 3/8. Would be nice if we all picked a day/time to meet up and have some drinks. Maybe Fri 3/7 or Sat 3/8 after the races! So far we have suggested Ed Waldens Bar off Beach street. Any other suggestions? (Message edited by sam_07 on February 20, 2008) |

Sam, yea that sounds good. The 7th or 8th. Let's make it happen. I open for suggestions. The strip somewhere? Boothill? Ironhorse? |

I vote for Ed Walden's of course. It's close to everything but still off the beaten path. Also much cheaper than Boot Hill, etc. I don't have anything to prove by going to the usual 'tourist spots'. Much more fun to go to a dive where the locals hang. Besides the pool table, they sell inexpensive T-shirts and a little bit of food. This will be my 14th Bike Week. I like to be different...Isn't that part of why we ride Buells? Nothing wrong with the usual spots, but they don't need my money and beers on Main Street are now $4.00 at many places v/s $2.50 at Walden's. Bret |

Meeting up is cool with me. Doesn't Hooters usually hold some kind of Buell night? Where ever's clever. I lived down there for a couple years so I know the area fairly well. If I don't know where something is, all I need is the general area, I can find it. Rich |

I'm from Atlanta, looking to head down on Friday the 7th after work, or very early on the 8th, and come back home on the 9th. Anyone from this neck of the woods heading down around those times? Definitely don't want to pay for a hotel by myself at 150/night, and wouldn't mind some company on the long slab down there! |

Im cool with Ed's. I would'nt mind passing on Boothill actually. It will be nice to NOT have black boogers from all the tire specs in the air from the burnouts. I dropped those bars in a hat as I figured everyone knew where they were. Anyhow, I don't care where meet. As long as the beer is cold. +1 on $2.50 vs. $4. Eff that. |

I'll be heading down the morning of the 7th, as of right now it looks like I'll be by myself until I meet up with my group in Daytona. I'll be camping at the track as usual, the only difference this year is I'll be on the Sporty instead of my dearly departed XB9SX. I'll be headad back Sunday PM. If anyone wants to hook up in North Florida somewhere and go down or on the ride back let me know. 850-673-6351 Ken |
