So I just got home from a great day of riding. Longest single day trip so far on my 1125...170 miles. Averaged 30.4 mpg. Some freeway, some open 2 lane, some nice sweepers, lots of twisties. Area around Alice's Restaurant and down to Boulder Creek. Temp stayed around 165-170....had its 600 mile service yesterday...coolant was a bit low, so now its not running at 185+. Stopped 7 times for breaks and such. Started each time, twice was a bit hesitant, just opened throttle a bit and fired up. Plenty of cranking power. Always had the power available when needed. Never had the feeling that I was pushing the bike to it limits, but did feel like I was pushing MY limits a bit here and there...mainly because the roads were unfamiliar. The 1125 held its lines like no other bike I've ridden. So with nearly 800 miles on it, I'm more pleased than I was when I swung my leg over it for the first time. Hope this provides some POSITIVE feedback to those who are unsure about buying one....just do it, you won't regret it. bob |

Great to hear! We got another 4" of snow today. At this rate it'll be July before I'll get to ride mine!! |

Finally got to pick mine up on Saturday. 25 miles from the dealership to the outlaw's house (oh I'm sorry, the in-laws)to get harrassed about buying a motorcycle with a 4 month old baby at home. Then 70 miles home. LOVED every second of it. Had no problem keeping the RPMs below 6000 (75 mph was about right) Ramped every few miles to vary the speed and RPMs. Still was able to SCREAM up the ramps (light front tire) while keeping below the break in rules. Bottom line, I put 95 miles on the bike and am drooling to finish the last 500 for break in. then it's time to open it up. |

Yeah, I got to initiate my bike to Hwy 1 from Morro Bay to Monterey on Saturday. All told it was about a 360 mile loop. The 1125R had about as big a smile on its face as I did on mine. |

I'm itching to go that stretch of HWY 1 myself before the tourist onslaught. |

Bertman, how was the traffic? Great ride, but the traffic is a real PITA. |

I did not get to ride today but I did fix my sons bike which is almost as good, I love to work on them, customize them, and ride them. |

HwyRanger question for you.... if you start having too much fun and go over the speed limits, do you pull yourself over and write yourself a ticket? LOL |

Traffic wasn't too bad, and I was in no hurry. It was way better than Moto GP time on that road. |
