Vik: Sorry darling, cyberhybernation, putting out fires or something. Uh oh, don't want to get on FMJ's unfriendly list. - Safer over there with the WIST friends. Dino: Way off subject - Tularian you are? Ever get to the TD Fair Grounds for the quad races? My bud/nephew came in 3rd last weekend and wondering if its because they are actually good at something or if there is just not enough competition in that class yet. Your take? Denise |

Well John and I received our rally packets from Leslie...Took me about a day to open mine...Everything first class...The "T", MAD maps, and especially the tour guide...Keep the pics coming as we are living the ride vicariously through them...John's biggest regret is that he didn't get to take part in the Kareoke...He has such a lovely voice...Who's that guy in the "Stich" with the 'Bolt?... I'm off to Arkansas for a three day weekend next week to take part in HSTA's national "STAR" rally...Jeez, they're giving away two scoots...A 2002 viffer and FZ-1...Should be fun and since it's so centrally located this year, it should draw quite a crowd... See Ya! Bob |

Racerdude: Arkansas is, mayhaps, one of the best kept secrest collection of American Roads. Erik and I were both there for the "First Annual Buell Owners Event" (it was my 3rd FIRST Annual). The roads were spectacular and on par with the California hills. Keep us posted! Court |

Hehehehe....I have been to CA touring more recently than mayhaps you know. Don't get me wrong, given my choice (and I was for this month) I'm in CA......easy. Frankly, I have an itching to get back to 666 pointed toward Farmington, NM as well...WHAT A ROAD! The other one that needs ridden again would be that piece (call me a sucker for rapidly descending and twisty roads) or road that's about 3 miles from the Bryce Canyon visitors center. And...of course, one of my ALL TIME favorites....that little piece of 276, alongside the waterfall, from Pigeon Gap to Big Fork East. That's the place I coughed in the pouring rain, fogged my helmet and went on visual autopilot... Heck....I have yet to meet a road I DON'T like. Court |

Court ,Would that be the road IN the park or heading towards Kodachrome Basin? Both awesome roads but to really be awed the Valley of Fire , Zion , Bryce Canyon In one day loop is my favorite. The best part I think is that you get to pass through Zion twice in one day!And dont be a Stranger next time your around here!Lots of us have 2 bikes and I for one would Love to ride the twisty ones wit' ya! And now Ill try posting more Bragcaltour pics. wish me luck! |

Ebear: You just offering me a bike? Hehehehehehehe....Blake...Ferris....TALK TO HIM! Court (who trashed the first Buell S-1 out of the factory door in front of a crowd, no less!) P.S. - and then did an M-2 giving my apprentice Ferris Bueller riding lessons... You REALLY offer me a bike ? |

Court, i notice that EBear says "lots of us have two bikes..."; i'm pretty sure he's giving you carte blanche to the entire California Buell fleet! EBear, when you see Court walking around in a shredded AeroStich (this would be as a result of throwing a perfectly good Cyclone down the road, see above), well, you'll think TWICE about tossing him the keys to any machine with YOUR name on the title. btw, ask him about the time he "turtled" a Buell in front of a crowd of tourists at Disneyland ride to lean (on your OWN frikkin' machine), FB |

Denise: First of all, I see that you ride a '98 viffer, red in color. I think FMJ will back me up when I say that this puts you in a HIGHLY questionable focus group. Scan the CA BRAG tour photos for further evidence of this claim. In non-answer to your question...I live in Porterville in Tulare County, but have never been a dirt rider and have no knowledge of the racing you mention. Sorry! |

Ebear, Go to http://www.xat.com and dowonload their jpeg optimizer or image optimizer software. It will cut your file sizes in half with no discernable loss of quality. Image Optimizer even has a batch function that allows you to compress a bunch of jpegs all in one easy step. Set quality on 80% and Majicompression at 60%. You should be able to post 640x480 pixel photos and still stay below the 50 KB limit. The reason some of your pic files are not uploading? Probably over the 50 KB limit. I think a file may show less than 50KB on yoru PC, but when transferred to the BadWeB server the file size is recognized differently (actual disk space required) and can be a few KB larger than what your PC shows. Nice pics! And nice formatting of your posts too. |

Thanks Blake , but all the credit goes to you. Without your input I'd be wasting alot more of your space!I have been using XAT since I started but have been setting the Majicompression at 100% along with the quality then backing off quality until its 48k or so.Im starting out with 3.5m pics and they initially compress to around 500k or so and XAT knocks off 15-20k more on first display. |

GREAT pix, EBear, please keep 'em coming! now then, how much of Court's riding lessons did i retain? well, let's just say that i think it's actually a bunch more fun riding a motorcycle UPRIGHT, rolling along on the actual tread portion of the tires, than sliding down the road on it's side, digging long, deep gouges in the pavement and throwing sparks like tracer rounds. i think it has SOMETHING to do with one's own name being on the title of the particular machine you're flogging at the time... BTW, on Day Three of the CA BRAG deal i led nineteen motorcycles over 300 miles of some of the nastiest, twistiest pavement in these parts, sometimes at speeds high enough to warrant jail-time (um, you folks in the back -- yeah, you know who you are -- didn't get to partake in any of THIS particular brand of Hooliganism...), and THEN rode all the way home from Fresno back to Lake Isabella, and didn't find it at all necessary during the day -- nope, not even once -- to toss my VFR on it's side to prove my riding ability. hmmmm, does that make Court a not-very-good teacher, or ME a not-very-good student? ride to lean (lean being the operative word here), FB |

ps to Denise: so Dino says to you "...I see that you ride a '98 viffer, red in color...this puts you in a HIGHLY questionable focus group." i do believe the young lad (i'm being generous) is insinuating that you and i comprise the only two members of this highly questionable (and, might i add, highly EXCLUSIVE) "focus group". by gawd, for once i think he's on to something!!! ride focused (hmmmmm, yet another "f" word.....), FB |

If you right click on the pic above of Bobby (Capt. America?), then click on "Properties" it will show you a files size of 51414 bytes. I actually have the filter set at 52 KB. Aim for 40 KB file sizes and you won't have trouble getting them to post. |
