We would not even notice any of you lot among all the fireman. Be careful in what you are saying, I would bet some of these guys (and ladies) can party among the best. I have been to a couple of firemen retirement parties, you guys know how to put someone into retirement. I have been to saner Rugby parties. |

Just a week ago Jim called me at the shop and said that's it I just retired. I am on my way to City Hall to fill out the papers I will be out as soon as I am finished. From my own experience I know how he will feel over the next the few months or even the next year, not seeing those he served with for so long. But I also know how busy he will be here at the shop learning the dyno. Both Sam and I are proud and lucky to have him as our partner. Without Jim's support and insistence there would have been no JT&S Performance. Welcome Aboard Partner. .... Your Old Roomy ... Terry |

HAha,took me a bit to figure out Terry's comment about former roomie--he has been tossed out on his ear by my new girlfriend,as she is excited to be going to the races and Homecoming with me. Retirement getting better, still sorting through all the paperwork, but my brother and a couple other fireman friends are planning a retirement getaway in April to a villa in Belize---ah,beach,beer,and babes!! Looking for a suitable retirement gift for myself so don't be surprised to see me on a brand other than Buell for those distance rides with a passenger--of course I have been drooling over Hayabusas ,also. Thanks for all the well wishes, guys. It is appreciated. |

My grand-nephew is a paid volunteer in the town that they in. He has a device called a "plectron" which he receives his fire calls. It is a loud thing, the dispatcher gives the information and the kid goes to fire house, hops on the truck etc. My suggestion is to get one of these devices to ease your way into the retirement mode. My nephew, a fire captain wouldn't know what to do with a full nights sleep. He calls that the NO-BELL prize. Just a suggestion, sleep on it. |
