Pulled in to the Kiwi Rider office this afternoon and stopped in the car park. Literally. Tin arse dave breaks a belt adjacent 3 spare motorcycles - and with his bike booked in for it's 32,000km service next day. I had a choice of a 08 Busa or the B-king. Went for the Busa. One Rapido Rapido Rapido bike it is. |

Oh, way to go! Now you'll have to sell that damn Buell because of that un-dependable belt! |

Thousands of miles of dirt roads and abuse and some roadworks in the burbs got it. |

That bike still got warranty left? It does cover the belt. |

Hard to tell for sure, but it looks almost like you had a hole punched in the thing that was half the width of the belt. Almost like a bullet hole. Any sprocket or tensioner damage? That KTM looks like a lot of fun also... |

no Jlnance - ran out of warranty in November. No Court. But Auckland motorcycles will have one. They also came out and pointed at me and sniggered about the hyabusa when I called by. Reep. To be honest I didn't look. Wheeled it into the shed, Rang the shop, they'll send the van to pick it up in the morning and headed in to my meeting. Then got distracted by deciding whether to take teh B-king or the Hyabusa - which I was always going to do. The big street race meeting is on Sunday up country and I'll plaster Kiwi Rider stickers all over the Busa and park it in the gate. The KTM sounds like fun. There was crap all over the road. Roadworks and 'clean up day' had just happened in the hood. Shit everywhere. |

Weren't you just last week about a million miles off the beaten track? Luck, and a dream job, in a dream land. +1 on the sticker. Got to go find one now. |

"Timing is everything..." Heh... the only time my bike ever left me stranded, it was in my garage (stator failure). |

I have a feeling Dave had to work pretty hard to get so lucky. |

Dave: I found a spare 2008 belt in the basement, headed your way today. Enjoy! |
