The Drummer is a Hollow tube, has roughly 1/4" packing around the inside edge. Then there is a steel perferated mat around the inside of that. VERY BAsic. It is also 4" shorter than stock. That is it. Not much work involved on the inside. I will assume You pay so much because of the billet end cap. |

Eric....... tried calling you a couple of times today. What size plug wires did you end up with? Where did you get them and how much? I found some 8mm wires and was wondering if the ones you got were thicker. |

i bought fancy after market wires for the top notch materials used and they look good too! there's probably too small of a performance value to measure but i know they'll last longer anyway. i went with the 8mm accel wires and am happy with them. |

I have a crimping tool on order to make my own for the next round. 10mm wires are what I am looking to make since no one makes them. I lost my crimping tool a couple years ago but use to make all my own cables for the sportster. Always had the Fat 10mm on it. Most Co. use the same "core wire", and the rest is insulation. Here is a quick picture of New Vs. Old....

Ok...so.....What's the performance value of these cables....errr,wires over stock? Dud..You just said that Out Loud! Didn't you just put a bigger positive cable on your Super Bike or some thing? Same principles apply.... |

Didn't you just put a bigger positive cable on your Super Bike or some thing? Hmmm, uhh, yeah,i replaced all three battery cables with larger gage wire that drops voltage less upon starting to allow more voltage to a strained starter because of the 13:1 compression .the spark plugs merely go "bzzzzzzzzt" and ignite fuel.is a larger "bzzzzzzt" possible? And if so it "makes" MORE power to the wheel? |

Do you not want as big of a "bzzzzzzzzt" as possible to ignite ALL the air/fuel mixture? I think you will want as much "bzzzzzzzzt" that comes from the coil, To reach the spark plug, To ignite the mixtuer of fuel & air. Yes Bigger IS Better....Less restriction for the spark to travel This allows COMPLETE burning of the mixture. Your ignition is only as good as the WEAKEST link in the system. You wouldn't run an arc welder off a radio cord would ya!...... Plus BIG wires look Cool As Sh!t on any engine.... Wait till I get my accell 10mm's...hehehehe
