Well, I rode the "Beast" as John related above...This is before the fairing had been re-installed and WOW!...I really didn't get into it as it had just been re-awakened but you can tell just with a slight twist that something very BIG lives within...Actually, it was kinda neat without the fairing...Kinda like a Speed Triple, Monster (the big'un)...Can't wait to ride it again... See Ya! Bob |

Steve, Not much to see. Most of the changes were engines upgrades. 3 13/16 Millinium jugs, carb, cams, etc. I did paint it. Its not blue anymore. The new paint job is one of those you can't fully describe with words. Kind of like the parkway blue cant be described. In low light is looks sort of "rootbeer". In the sun, it looks very bright, sort of a tangerine color. In regular light, it is very much the same color as the S3 tailight lens. People never believe me when I tell them the base coat is purple pearl. We then shot over that with "day-glow tangerine. I left some of the base coat inside one of my saddlebags to show people who ask. No stripes, checks, or other designs. |

I'm in the market for a motorcycle trailer this week. No ... not buying a HD and need to go to Sturgis (hahahaha) I'm looking for one that can possibly double as a utility trailer. As ya know my XR is up for sale and I am working on a deal with a dealership in the south-east. They want my bike and are offering a new 2002 Buell Blast plus cash offer. This paves the way for the wife to get her learner bike and me to get cash ... for another bike The Blast wasn't in my original plan so it's still iffy. Care to offer any suggestions on a trailer? Know of a used one? I've even thought about a U-Haul. DAve |

Dave, Tell them to keep the blast, give you more cash, and then you can go buy your wife a real bike. The only thing those blast are good for is running around the pits at the race track. Sorry but I dont have a bike trailer. smartass John |

Racerboy, the LED's are no where near as bright as the stock lens and bulb. Now instead of the whole tail light being lit up,there is just a red glowing circle in the lens, looks pretty cool, think I'll keep itI bet it would look really neat with a two bulb set up! |

Bob, I still am planning on being there on the 26th. Do you by any chance have a couch or a spare bed I might be able to crash on? I am trying to make this a low budget trip since I just bought another Buell and I will be blowing a bunch of money in Colrado next week!! Thanks Dan |

But I think it's pretty frakin' cool! I always thought about doing it but never could bring myself to committing 4 years to that aspect of the military. DAve |

Sorry I am so tardy with this reminder of our monthly get together at Malone's in Maryland Heights on the NE corner of Page and Schuetz...This Twosday, June 18th, from 6 p.m. until ???...Hope to see you all there... We had two newbies join us on our ride this past Sunday...Welcome to Rich and Kaleb (hope I spelled that right)...Rich rides an S3 and Kaleb a M2...Nice to meet you guys!...You're both welcome to ride with us any time...Watch here for time and place... When John and I stopped at Shady Jacks, we had about 375 miles on...I was flat tuckered out...I kinda mentally crashed after leaving the Elbow Inn...Began making stupid nav mistakes...When we got to Salem I requested that we ride roads with BIG numbers and not little letters home...But we were still a far piece away...If you haven't been to the Churchill Memorial at Westminster College in Fulton, I can reccomend it to you...It is very interesting and they have a sculpture consisting of four pieces of the "Berlin Wall" that is fascinating... See Ya! Bob |
