Hey JP! Good morning! The Duc is basically ready to run and looks like this:NEBO Pictures I've got a real peculiar set up injection wise.Essentially i'm running a "Single injector chip" but with all four injectors. The chip was originally meant to curb a stutter at 4k RPM by disabling two of four injectors.Four injectors couldn't atomize at low speed conditions. But due to the demands of my new engine i'm supposed to run the single injector chip with all four injectors BUT with special mapping (waiting for that E-mail) via "Powercommander PC-IIIUSB". The thing IS silly simple to install on the bike,i can attach it beforehand to my desktop computer and download maps to it.In the meantime,if i get impatient i can run with two of four injectors and without the Powercommander....I MAY run it this weekend |

"Some disassembly required" I routed that harness under rather than the more correctly way,OVER the frame rail! It'd have worked fine but wasn't routed as per the manual.Almost there tho.And the PC-III will mount/rout easier and more robust. |

Where the frikk are youse guys!! About an hours labor to start up.The Power Commander mounted silly easy.So did the downloads. The map doesn't seem so complicated. But adjusting it correctly does. |

started to think it was the UNICORN.... You know,i've yet to see ANY engine project come to fruition much quicker.Complicated headwork and custom fitted pistons require time and planning to work correctly.I'm off to the gas station in a few minutes.. |

SUCCESS!!!! WHOA!!!! What a feared GROWL!! WOO-HOO! It started without nearly a glitch. The idle needed to be brought up from zero. And initial starting was slow to turn over.It still starts a little weird.I suspect TB sync/adjust.I rode it around the neighborhood and it rode fine. The road sand made me sick with it kicking up.Now it's going on static display until i can ride it in decent weather. This afternoon i'm tearing into the XB.Thanks for enduring this project with me guys . |

Oh and I got my 25th anniversary patch from Court and it was about $200 cheaper than actually going to NYC for the show for one! Anybody know if Manchester HD/Buell actually has the neck gaitors? Or a 1125 in stock to look at? Hate to go out there for nothing.... |

hey Eric....... I just read that the Rosso's replace the standard Diablo tires. The Corsa III are better than the Rosso's. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/406 2/335598.html?1202744523 |

If you need cutting edge there's always the "Diablo Supercorsa" DOT street legal race compounded tires Tripp,as i'm told, that's not a very enticing deal. (Message edited by Ducxl on February 11, 2008) |

lol, more like chuck it. i guess it would'nt help to mention the 7% sales tax on top of that! there is'nt a 100% mark up btw, i was afraid we could'nt compete with the internet, tires are probably the biggest cut throat product in the industry! i'll tell them y'all were laughing at me and see if they can sharpen their pencils a little more! |

My Bad Greg! I will make it up top ya Pal! I just have not had a chance to take a picture of the caliper, That's all. Plus I was not online all weekend being the wifes B-day and all. Went out Saturday with a couple of friends and there wives, Took her to comedy connection, Then some nice restaraunt, Then to the VFW near my house till 2am (closed the bar). Was pretty useless sunday.... I am just waiting on a few parts from American Sport Bike and I will get the front end completed. EVERYTHING is new up front (Including fork rebuild) except that Free spirits rake bearing. It looks good so I left it (plus it costs $150.00) The rear of the bike will be next to come apart. New Brembo Rear Caliper to be mounted. Rebuild rear master, Possibly a new "free floating" rear rotor to be mounted if funds/time are on my side. All new Brake lines too. Front/Rear Bearings are waiting on the tool from American Sport Bike to be completed. New headlight bracket to be mounted (yea it is a real piece of aluminum) New NGK Iridums with some Monster Magnecore wires. Makes the Buell wannabe Race Wires look like Dental Floss.... So much to do with such little time to do it. Also have JP's muffler project on my plate. Shooting to complete that this weekend if all goes well. Only need a few more Items to rip into that project. should be one schweet sounding muffler! Drummer Style... |
