wade, the wilkersons are twin brothers who were/are the most creative members of our seemingly defunct riding group. they are largely responsible for our old hoosier thunder logo that was used on the teeshirts and patches. too bad we hadn't met you before we stopped seeing them |

welcome back !! good to hear from you ! i'm glad you supplemented the cb with another buell.....but it looks too stock for you. i'll be doing the miracle ride again, and would enjoy gettin' together for it. i am starting collections earlier this year, so that i can get more money for them. i know it is a long time off, but indy moto gp festivities are already coming together. friday nite is speedway racing at marion county fairgounds. saturday is the mile at indy state fairgrounds. sunday is motogp (all classes, unlike previous laguna meets). there will also be other stuff going on as well. i talked to the owner of the indy duc dealership at the cycle world show yesterday. he said that they will be hosting an open house on thursday. those guys know how to throw a party !! other things are in the works. it sounds like indy is going all out to welcome the fans. i am taking time off of work to take advantage of all of it. plan on coming to some of the events...... lots to look forward to. spring will be here soon, so we will have consecutive nice days to ride, instead of singles here and there. |

Yeah, Indiana and their prudish liquor laws. It was just a few years ago that they started allowing alcohol sales in bars, and restaurants on Sunday. |

I have what could be a pretty cool idea... So we all know MotoGP is coming to the Indianapolis Motorspeedway in September. I bet Buellers from all around the country are riding this way to go to the races and have a good time. Why don't we organize a ride? Show some out of town Buellers a good time, by exploring some of Indiana's finest roads and getting some good eats. Nothing too formal as we don't want to get into liablity issues and all that jazz but just spread the word on the web here and maybe a dozen or two dozen people show up... We would need a few lead riders to keep group size down but other than that it would be minimal effort. Do you think there would be any interest in a Saturday ride that is a few hours long? Anyways, just throwing the idea out there and seeing what everyone thinks... Wade Here is a route I think would be good. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&geocode=4012 029849730272432,39.200990,-86.247220%3B13988610765 634569636,39.265887,-86.249247%3B12551103846913583 473,39.173620,-86.482140%3B5218884289421672565,38. 932815,-86.363744%3B6179711631895438686,38.755849, -86.752170%3B18076744441846869014,38.579000,-86.61 5920%3B8225322600360227084,38.662360,-86.786590%3B 930850494051299665,38.811580,-86.518280%3B12769769 224900823030,39.185569,-86.541803&saddr=39.185433, -86.542397&daddr=IN-46+%4039.200990,+-86.247220+to :IN-135+%4039.265887,+-86.249247+to:E+10th+St%2FIN -45+%4039.173620,+-86.482140+to:IN-446+%4038.93281 5,+-86.363744+to:IN-450+%4038.755849,+-86.752170+t o:US-150+%4038.579000,+-86.615920+to:US-150+%4038. 662360,+-86.786590+to:US-50+%4038.811580,+-86.5182 80+to:W+Gourley+Pike+%4039.185569,+-86.541803&mra= dme&mrcr=0&mrsp=0&sz=13&sll=39.167202,-86.511326&s spn=0.054035,0.1157&ie=UTF8&ll=38.950865,-86.38824 5&spn=0.867204,1.851196&z=9 |

My wife and I are leaving Friday afternoon/evening, April 11th, from Lafayette for Moonshine. It would be great to have some Buell's there amongst all of the full fairing machines |

Wademan and Fasted, Awesome! See you there! Don't forget to register at the website so Terry has an idea of how many to expect and we get a few more Buells on there. Wife booked a room today. Comfort Inn in Casey, IL (closest to moonshine) only had two rooms left for Saturday, but none for Friday. Since we are going Friday, we went with the Super 8 in Marshal, IL. (Closer to indiana and about 8 mi from Casey, IL.) Eric |

WOW, I was just bored and wanted to know how many people have actually registered for the lunch run. Count is almost at 300. Funny thing is I saw a total of 3 Buells listed. That does not include Eddie... so make it 4. |

Last year about 100-150 bikes showed up in sleet and a lot of rain I was the only Buell and only bike without a fairing I tried to post the google map route I am going to take from Lafayette, but can't get it to work We will be going down 25 past Shades Park and Turkey run, then wiggle our way down, trying to find roads like you guys have in Bloomington! |
